To the owner of White Horse Pub:
Like so many sailboats and "yachties," my crew and I are in Bermuda twice per
year on our sailboat deliveries from the eastern coast of America to the Caribbean; we have the pulse of the rather large sailing community here in the Caribbean. Upon arrival in St. Georges after a long and tiring passage, coming and going, tradition, not only for us, but the long-standing tradition of many of our friends is to enter White Horse for a friendly smile and handshake and "welcome back" from Walter, a few beers, Bermuda Fish Chowder and lunch. I most sincerely hope that you realize how utterly pivitol and important it is for each and everyone of us to see Walter behind your bar, brother? He is THE most important bartender in the entire Atlantic ocean. He is an icon, and he is every haggered sailors best friend, confidant. So important is this man to a sailor, much as it is bad luck to not grafitti the marina walls upon arriving in the Azores after a Trans-Atlantic crossing, not seeing Walter behind your awesome bar would be a devestating blow to the sailing community and plain old bad luck. This is the honest truth, sir. Please hold him as you would a precious gem. Whatever he is paid, it is not enough.
Walter, my friend, my bartender, you are a celebrity, a star, an inspiration, a legend, and without you doing what you do, believe it or not, the mad Atlantic Ocean would be even more difficult for us sailors. We bow to you, sir. Thank you for being you. No One in Bermuda is half as important to a sailor, aside from Bermuda Radio Bermuda Radio Bermuda Radio than your bigger than life smile. G_d bless you, sir.
You are honorary crew on more sailing vessels than you may ever realise. Again, thank you for your immaculate hospitality. We look very much foreward to seeing yiou in April-May, sir.
