We were here during mating season. Goldilocks (everyone knows him, just ask a local) took us out to see the birds, then lobster hunting, then to 17 mile beach via the lagoon. The birds are fantastic. We also saw (safe to touch) jellyfish in the lagoon. Amazing experience!!!

One of our stops on our epic sail from Antigua to Tortolla was beautiful Barbuda. We took a trip to the Sanctuary and George was our guide. He is a lovely, lovely gentle man and took us round the sanctuary telling us all we needed and wanted to know. The tour is great but he was most certainly the icing on the cake for us. Go gorgeous George!

We took the boat ride to Barbuda via the Excellence Antigua tours, and it was great! They had local boats from Barbuda come and pick us up, and take us out in smaller boats to the heart of the Frigate Bird Sanctuary! The local guides were extremely knowledgeable! We got down-poured on, but that was nobody's fault, but the boat captains were fast acting to get us back to drier shores!

Had a great trip to see the Frigate Birds on the amazing Lagoon. These amazing male birds that show their bright red chests to attract their mates are a sight to see. Just word or warning, we had George who is a great guy but we felt mislead as we were told one price and was then asked for another. When we called to asked for a price we asked this to include collection from the beach, the bird sanctuary, low bay and the caves. When we were collected and after visiting the birds, we were asked to pay extra for the taxi and for some kind of local tax. It really left a bitter taste in my mouth and then meant that we could continue with all of our day trip. Warning taxi are very expensive and you need to be given the total cost of the trip.
