Stunning location, well worth the price, relaxing peace and quiet. A stunning location shame you can't tip the staff. Privacy welcome and lack of electronic gadgets make this a perfect place for a family holiday.

I had a 'run in' with the same manager who I can only describe as a lady !
We were anchored about half a mile north of the resort, the surf was so large that we could not get ashore, we motored down to the resort where there was little surf.
On landing we were met by two gentlemen who listened to our request to land there and get a taxi, they called the manager, a lovely lady came to the beach, again listened to our request, and then told us politely that she must put her guests privacy first and refused our request.
We left. We absolutely respected that decision, the guests pay a substantial fee for that privacy.
I don't understand why tripadvisor would allow that review 'terrible' to stay on line.

My husband and I recently returned from our 17th trip to Barbuda - which should be sufficient evidence that Coco Point Lodge is indeed our favorite place on Earth. We strongly recommend that anyone who is looking for privacy, tranquility, relaxation, fabulous food and one of the most gorgeous beaches on this planet should get on the phone right now and call the owner, Patrick Kelly, whose family has owned and run this slice of paradise since 1960. It is a small all-inclusive resort with big amenities (deep sea fishing, sailing, water skiing, picnics, etc etc etc) and many repeat guests who book the day they leave for the following year. If you go once you will be hooked, and count the days until your return, as we do.

This place is amazing! Very quiet and relaxing. If your looking for lots of people and restaurants this is not for you. This is the kind of place celebrities go to. Everyone has their own house or room depending on what you choose. They are actually on the beach. The food is amazing especially the beach grill! If you want to go water skiing or tubbing you just ask the boat driver and he takes you as long as you want. It awesome! This place is paradise!

We went to Coco Point because our first Hotel in Barbuda (K Club) is now closed, and from our stay there sixteen years ago we knew there is another resort on the same beach.
The procedure to make in order to be "admitted" as a client is a little bit strange, but both Patrick and his son Chapin were very nice and understanding, so we got a room and even an upgrade, which my wife and me very much appreciated.
The beach is fantastic, the Villa we had was outstanding (other rooms might seem a bit small, but who stay in the rooms at this place?), the welcome from Ray and his charming wife Danielle, the managers of the Lodge, was most gentle, we asked for absolute privacy and we got it. This is maybe the point, the Club House and Restaurant are a kind of "country club" in which everybody knows everybody, we were there for the first time, but the other guests were very nice and welcomed us warmly. If you need privacy and calm at lunch or dinner (btw the food is outstanding), this is not really the place for you. If you love to socialize you will perfectly fit into Coco Point. But remember: to be at this Resort is considered as a privilege, and the booking procedure can be a bit... unusual. It is almost impossible to get a booking at short notice, and if you ask too intensively... you might get no answer.

Room Tip: Try to get an independent Villa, or at least a portion of it, the basic rooms are a bit tight.

Having visited Coco Point for 13 consecutive years I took an 8 year break because of a new family and limitations on travel. We returned this month with family and it was as good as ever. The location as described by other reviewers is spectacular but the people and depth of service commitment is what sets Coco Point apart. Couple the above with excellent food & wine and the unparalleled opportunity to relax, and you have the essence of Coco Point. Coco Point may well be one of these anomalies where pictures do not tell the full story; when you are there, and see all aspects of it come together, you have that "ah ha" moment and thank yourself for a great decision.

Room Tip: If travelling with a group, be sure to consider one of the 2, 3 or 4 bedroom cottages which each pro...

Traveled down to Coco Point Lodge in January 2012 and learned that the pictures, writings, website, etc. do not do it justice. This place is truly exceptional and is leaps and bounds above any other Caribbean resort. Having traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean staying often in highly rated boutique hotels or well-known, high-end hotels (i.e. Ritz Carlton) I can say without reservation that the stay at Coco Point Lodge was the best travel experience I've ever had. From the moment you arrive in Antigua the Coco Point staff is attentive to your every need and make the travel from Antigua to Barbuda effortless and absolutely enjoyable. Once at Coco Point Lodge you feel like you've traveled to a simpler place and time; if you can't relax here, you can't relax anywhere. The accomodations are Caribbeanly elegant, the landscape is breathtaking, the refreshements are plentiful and the food, my God, the food is something you'll crave the rest of the year! Perhaps the best part of Coco Point Lodge is that you can make what you want of it. If you're a book and hammock kind of person, have at it. If sport-fishing is your thing, the boat is waiting for you. Water-skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, trapshooting, tennis...all on your schedule!

Just can't wait to get back down in 2013!!
