Another great beach just up the way from Babay Beach. I have to admit that as much as I enjoyed tthis beach, i was already taken under the spell at Baby Beach. Still, this beach is delightful as is more suited to a stronger swimmer. But hey, you are in Aruba just a great Island.

Rodgers Beach its located in San Nicolas. Its right next to the popular Baby Beach, has the tranquility that "Baby Beach" lacks... but hasn't the services, maintenence and facilities of its baby sister :(

The sand is white and soft, the water is calm and clean, really nice beach au naturel... but you need to bring your own food and beverage to stay a full beach day, because there is no restaurant around (unless you want to move to Baby Beach every time you need to buy something).

Rodgers Beach is an odd gem on the southern tip of Aruba. The sand is soft, the water warm and clear, and there are a few huts for shade. If you look basically due west, you'll see the Caribbean out to the horizon. Turning to your left (south) you'll see the sweep of the beach and small fishing boats moored near the old Esso Club. But if you turn right, you'll see the (currently closed) refinery that was once the largest oil refinery in the world.
I don't mind the refinery at all. Why? Because usually Rodgers Beach is quite empty. You can have a nice little picnic, enjoy the water, and have the place mostly to yourself. Bring all your supplies as there are no services or vendors here. It can kind of give you the lost on a desert island feeling, which is an antidote to the crowded areas on the other end of Aruba. Give the place a chance. After all, it's very close to Baby Beach which is just several hundred yards further south.

Not crowded like Baby Beach, the view is great, except for the refinery. If you want pure white sand, and a beach to yourself, this is the place to go.
