Description: Giannis Ristorante Italiano starts it's story in 1984 when Giovanni and Filomena Ferrara opened their first family owned restaurant in down town Oranjestad, Aruba. As one of the first Italian restaurants in Aruba success was very quick to follow, through the years up to now the family has slowly moved from downtown to the new nightlife area in Palm Beach better known as the strip. Gianni's was the beginning of a family of restaurants across the island, always specializing in extraordinary culinary experiences. Today you can still meet some of the family in Gianni's, the Italian side of the Ferrara family originates from Castellamare di Stabia, a small city on the Napoli Coast in Italy. You can find the menu at Gianni's is geared more around Napoli food but as the years have passed and our customer base has grown, we have extended into other regions of Italy to create a more complete Italian experience for our customers. Gianni's is well known for constantly changing towards modern times and better ingredients, always looking to import the freshest and finest quality ingredients to enhance our customer experience. Our motto has always been; try to find the best, enjoy the best, and share it with our guests.

Our routine usually gets us to Gianni's on the first night we arrive in Aruba. We are across the street at the Radisson and exhausted from a long day of travel. A very good Italian meal served outdoors near the street traffic makes home seem not too far away.

Great location right on the strip with huge patio. Nice atmosphere with a mix of portrait artists, a violinist and a clown. Sounds odd but it all worked well together. Food was tasty and portions were generous. Busy place in the centre of all the action.

Gianni's is a great addition to the Aruba restaurant scene. We ate there when it opened and the food was very good. They expanded the menu a couple years later but the food and service deteriorated. Now we see the expanded menu, food quality, and service has improved quite a bit.

Drive in for valet parking. Nice piaza with colorful fountain and lighted area make it an attractive entry to the restaurant. We always sit outside and enjoy the warm breeze under the bright awning and still get to watch the passersby.

We compare all Italian restaurants on Aruba to Hostaria Da Vitorio. It's one of the best anywhere. So, to rate Gianni's is easy. The service was great and very attentive. Ceasar salad is very good. My favorite is the stuffed artichoke - probably best on the island. Linguini with clams are good but don't match Hostaria while the cannoli and cappuccino are on par. Most of the entres are good and there's plenty to select from.

We enjoyed the live and animated violinist perfoming great music but the volume was a little too high.

If the place looks too crowded or busy as it often is during prime time, dine elsewhere and come for dessert. Sit at the bar or on the nearby couches and order the chocolate salami - a real treat.

Gianni's is a festive and bright place to have a good Italian meal.

After walking out of our "italian" dinner at the Riu, Gianni's was a refreshing change of pace. About a 5 minute walk from our hotel Gianni's offered excellent service, food, and atmosphere, can't say enough. It was so good, we went back a second time, just a couple of nights later, and were rewarded with the same excellent food, and service!

We are in Aruba for our honeymoon and decided on some Italian food. Gianni's is ideally located on the strip of restaurants nearby eagle beach. 5 minute walk from the Hyatt where we are staying. Our concierge let them know it was our honeymoon and we received a glass of champagne. I'm not one for bubbles but it was a nice touch. Ordered the roasted artichoke and the Spaghetti al formaggio parmigiano. Was cool to watch them prepare the main course. Nearly a quarter of the tables ordered that dish. It didn't disappoint. Food had great taste and we will probably return for some other menu options.
