My experience at Screaming Eagle was one that I will probably remember forever. As a vegan, nice restaurants usually do a good job to make sure that I have something delicious to eat but Chef Erwin greatly surpassed most restaurants.
When told by the nice waitress that I was vegan and would like the chef to create a dish from scratch, Chef Erwin came to our table and asked me two questions: how many courses? what’s an absolute no? Armed with my answers, Chef Erwin personally cooked and served me three phenomenal courses. The first course was filled with three items: a small shot of gazpacho, cilantro veggies and now I can’t remember what the third item was (it was several months ago). The second was a veggie bbq skewer and rice. And, the third course was a frozen banana soup with fresh blackberries.
We sat outside in the beautiful Aruban night enjoying our last night in paradise. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Looking forward to going back.
