When booking this hotel be careful what you wish for....The pool is the size of a large bath tub....8 feet by 4 feet or thereabouts...the room was not much bigger than the pool. No elevator to the second floor...just a rickety spiral staircase to go up. we asked to be changed to the first floor and they couldn't accommodate us because the front desk had closed at 5pm. The best thing we can say about it was that it was clean. The location though being across the street from the beach is off the beaten path of tourist attractions....mainly humanity. We felt very deserted and nervous about our location. I wouldn't recommend this place for my dog to stay at...get the picture?!!!

Room Tip: Can't think of one

Thank you for sharing your experience and we’re sorry to read that your expectations were not met. MVC Eagle Beach is a 2.5 star property and all information, e.g. on our website, is accordingly; the small pool, the size of the rooms, etc., we do not sell different, what you see is what you get.

When reading Tripadvisor prior to your arrival you get a correct understanding of our product and service which is appreciated by a lot of our guests, it is a matter of having the right balance of price and quality.

We do hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay on Aruba.

My wife and I just returned from a stay here at the MVC Eagle, and found it surprisingly comfortable and very well located amongst the beaches of Aruba. Either with a rent a car or with the local transit, one can easily get around town from here, plus the restaurant, 'Tulips', was very good in both taste and variety of foods. Visually when you first arrive, you may not be too impressed with this smaller hotel, and may think it looked more like a motel with some updates needed, but for the cost effectiveness and use of a centre base for travel around the Isle, it is the ideal place to stay. This part of the beach is as everyone comments, a much calmer and spacious section of the beaches in Aruba. (If you take very long walks on beaches, you can actually touch 3 beaches of Aruba, Eagle, Manchebo and Druif of Aruba. And if you like jogging, you can literally reach the 4th one at Palm Beach, where all the fancy plazas are for the hi-rise area, as you are in the low-rise section, that seems much more open and breathable to us.) If you go enjoy!

Room Tip: If you are an exercise nut like myself, and you need a place to workout, as this hotel does not have...

This was our first trip to Aruba, seeking a few days of warm weather and time to rest and read. We had no knowledge of the island and fortuitously picked MVC Eagle Beach to stay at. Only 19 rooms and literally 50 yards to the quietest (and wide) beach in Eagle Beach, we didn't have to fend off the crowds (often 10 deep on the beach) that we saw just a block away at the time share resorts and the larger hotels in the "low rise" section. (The crowds at the high-rise hotels in Palm Beach are another story.) The rooms themselves are nothing fancy, but are comfortable and clean. And with reasonable cost of this hotel, we could enjoy waterfront dinners at Pincho's and Passions on the Beach (just 2 blocks down the beach). The hotel's restaurant, Tulip, is also reasonable and has good food.

Just returned from our Aruba trip. We stayed at MVC last year and again this visit. Another great trip and another year of great service from everyone at MVC.

Christy gave us the room we requested and left us a bottle of champagne for our arrival. Returning to MVC is like visiting family...the staff can't do enough for you and are always there with a welcoming smile.

The beach was beautiful. We were a little hesitant with the new beach chair service that's being used now. Chairs are available for rent on the beach in front of MVC so we weren't sure what to expect from that. Needless worry! The guy that takes care of the chairs always made sure we had our two chairs under the hut every single morning! He makes sure the MVC guest are taken care of. Very nice guy and such a hard worker too.

Weather was a bit disappointing. Although we came home with nice tans and spent everyday on the beach...it rained more this trip than in all the years we have been to aruba. Not 5 minute showers and not total washout days either but heavy rain every single day. The taxi drivers we had also commented on the unusual amount of rain.

We will be returning again next year and hope everyone with plans to stay at MVC is happy with their choice.

Happy new year

Our trip to Aruba started out rather badly. It was pouring rain when we got there and by the time we got to the MVC we were pretty irritable. We checked in and the room we received happened to be near the restauraunt and we were not happy. The next morning the manager Christy knocked on our door and addressed our concern immediately by moving us to a room further from the restauraunt. Christy was very pleasent, helpful, and courteous. Christy's good humor was contagious and we became fast friends. She went above and beyond anything that we expected to make our trip one of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had in Aruba. Her personality and the courtesy of the other staff at the MVC is to be commended. We were able to spend time with Christy and her family and their hospitality and kindness are unheard of in this day and age. The hotel is not a resort and this makes it a very comfortable and generally quiet place to relax and enjoy one of the best beaches in Aruba. The rooms are clean and comfortable and reaonably priced. The bus stops right out side of the hotel and you can get anywhere on the island from there. Our trip was a great experience due largly to Christy and the staff at the MVC Eagle Beach!

Room Tip: Room 1 on the first floor is an excellent room with people only on 1 side.

This was a wonderful place for our 2012 family reunion over Christmas. We were a group of 11, including a baby and a 7 year and we are all lyrical about our stay.

What to expect of Aruba: Aruba has it act together. We felt safe anytime anywhere, which cannot be said for some of the other Caribbean islands.

What to expect of MVC Eagle Beach:
1. wonderful staff (Christy, Theo, Kevin, house keeping just to name a few (I would mention them all by name, if I only remembered),
2. nice, simple, well air-conditioned rooms with a small refrigerator.
3. excellent beach location, crossing the road between the property and the beach is a non-issue and even on the busiest day, Christmas day, the beach was not overcrowded.
4. if you are looking for excursions, just go see Christy and she will take care of it.
5. at least one double room for guests with young children
6. laundry facilities on-site, always handy when traveling with small children
7. trade winds, which will keep the temperatures in check and allow sleeping without the airco

And the friendly atmosphere wins over the guests too, everybody acknowledges and greets the other guests.

Room Tip: Ask for second floor with sea view, but only if you can handle stairs (no elevator).

This was our fourth trip to Aruba and our first stay at MVC Eagle Beach. We were looking for a hotel that was on Eagle beach, one that was cost effective, and comfortable. MVC Eagle Beach met and exceeded our expectations. The manager (Christy) was professional and friendly. The housekeeping service was great. The room was cleaned daily and the housekeeping personnel were ready to assist as requested. The restaurant (The Tulip) was clean and served a good European breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices were comparable to other restaurants on the island. The restaurant staff were very attentive. The hotel though small offered access to the internet, a laundry room, and assistance with booking tours and rentals. The rooms were compact, clean, and comfortable. We enjoy the smaller atmosphere and each time we have met new friends by sitting on our balcony and talking to our neighbors where ever they may be from. We would highly recommend the hotel to those who are tired of the high rise concrete jungles that remind me of a Dallas traffic jam. Regards, John & Valerie Honeycutt December 2012
