This was our third trip to Aruba. This time it was just the two of us for our 29th anniversary. Knowing that we would not be splitting a timeshare with another couple this time we were looking for an affordable stay on Eagle Beach. MVC Eagle Beach was our choice and we couldn’t have been happier.

We have been to Aruba before and we knew how we planned on spending our time on the island. So for us, a clean simple room with king bed, shower and TV was all we needed. It had to be on Eagle Beach (either on or across the street). An ocean view would be nice but not necessary. A bar and restaurant on premises was a necessity. We are not upscale travelers. We are ok with basic amenities. All we really ask for is cleanliness and attention to any needs we may have.

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor and exchanging emails with Christy at MVC we booked our reservation online. Christy called to confirm and make sure we knew how to check in if our plane was late. I mentioned it was our anniversary trip and were pleasantly surprised to find 2 campaign glasses, some cut flowers and cold bottle in the fridge. What a start to a great stay.

The room was exactly as described online; king bed, bathroom with shower. I had requested a ground floor room and was given the end room. It was clean. The mattress is not one of those super thick and cushy pillow tops but was fine for us. There was a small TV, a fridge, a small armoire, and a few drawers. It was perfect for our needs.

The grounds are kept very clean. It has a tropical garden feel. The Tulip Restaurant and Bar has mostly outdoor seating with the bar being inside. Any food we ate there was excellent. About the pool… it is a small wading/sitting pool. It is not a swimming pool or spa. It gets very little use. With the beautiful blue waters of Eagle Beach just across the street this little pool is all that is needed if you just need to cool off. In keeping with their environmental initiative, this pool fits right in. Also with only 18 suites, it keeps the cost down.

A simple continental breakfast is included with the room rate. We quickly fell into a daily routine that started off with a happy greeting from Kevin, our new best friend on the island. He handled the breakfast, lunch and bar requirements of Tulip during the day. His easy going demeanor and friendly smile every day really made us feel at home during our stay. Kevin was even kind enough to share a bus ride and walk with us downtown in order to find a particular restaurant. Ask him to make one of his “specialteee” drinks, you won’t be disappointed!

The maid service for our room was also perfect and anything we needed or asked for was accommodated quickly and with a smile. Some days we chose no service but appreciated the extra towels.

We honestly loved our stay at MVC Eagle Beach and will return. It is exactly what we were looking for. If you are looking for high energy, lots of action, loud music, a huge pool with swim up bar, lots of splashing and making noise, a crowded beach and a cosmopolitan upscale experience, and a price to go with all that, you should look to the high rise area. But if your requirements are like ours, MVC will not disappoint. Christy, Kevin and the rest of the staff will make sure of that.

Simple clean rooms. Staff was great. Breakfast is a bit simple and common, but good. Heavy European influences. Best location on Aruba . . . . . Eagle Beach. Sand is like powder. Beach is always empty. Need to go further north for diving, but the water is just as clear. ENJOY!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms have great ocean views.

We loved our stay at MVC Eagle Beach. The room was comfortable, clean, and pleasant. Minor problems were fixed promptly. The location is stupendous -- right across the street from Aruba's best beach by far, and one of the best beaches anywhere. The staff, especially the office manager were all very friendly and helpful -- like family really. The outside is beautifully designed with flowering plants, palms, gazebo, and nice table on the sheltered deck in front of each room. Parking is convenient and ample. Having a laundromat on site is a big plus. And the endless supply of fine beach towels makes life so much easier! We couldn't avail ourselves much of the restaurant because we are vegetarians, but it looked very nice. Above all the price is a total steal!!! Top marks all around. This is a real review, this place is really that good.

Room Tip: Just 16 units, half on second floor accessible by outdoor spiral staircase only, so go with first floor if that doesn't suit you.

This is a small quaint hotel in Eagle Beach - not luxurious, but clean, cute rooms. The beach across the street is gorgeous, downtown is about a $10 cab ride away. The restaurant food is delicious and the staff if super friendly. Their service was above and beyond what I expected. If you want a quiet vacation and friendly service, this is a great spot.

We just returned from 5 days at MVC Eagle Beach. It was a wonderful experience for both of us. I just can't say enough about how much the staff paid so much attention to detail and everyone made sure the stay was enjoyable. The location is between the high rise hotels and town so you can even walk to town as we did one morning. The place was clean, comfortable and a short walk to the beach. The real gem is the Tulip restaurant, an excellent chef and staff to accomodate the most discriminating tastes. I would recommend this place for the value and service and location. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again when in Aruba.
