Great beach at which we spent a lot of time relaxing and in the beautiful water. Not too close to high rise resorts which was more to our liking. Grocery shopping not too far away for all our daily needs. Restaurants close by unless you go to the high rise area for more dining options. We did a bit of both. Ricardo's on site was also good.

Rooms were dated but kept clean by staff. Only issue was limited wireless access...probably because all the rooms are concrete. Had to go near the lobby for internet access.

Aruba Beach Club is a great destination for families and couples. Right at a wonderful beach (with lots of huts spending shade during hot days), it has improved greatly under the new Board. The rooms are clean (daily maid service!!!) and well equipped. The new restaurant on property is awesome and the pool great for kids. Just the closing time (7:00 pm) is too early - would be great to have a relaxing swim at least until 8. WiFi in the reception area works well and is free. If you are the first time on the island, rent a car. Otherwise the reasonable priced taxis are good enough.
Huge advantage over the high rise hotel area: the beach is never overcrowded - and it is better than the one at the big hotels.

Nice clean room,BUT, the wind whistled through my room 24/7. No weatherstripping on bottom of front door, I own 2 weeks of time share here and have complained about this for 3 years now. I think they don't give a dam because they collect ridiculous energy fees. Along with the wind came bugs, I got 14 bug bites one night. this is NOT a party place, very quite, not much going on. Plenty of single women if you like them over 70 years old! Very noisy a. c., hard to sleep.

Room Tip: Stay next door at C.D.M. that place rocks!

My husband and I just returned from a week in Aruba this past Saturday, 6/28. This was our first trip to Aruba. We fell in love with the island, the people, and ABC!!! I honestly can't say enough good things about this resort. In fact, I wish I would have taken notes because I had so many great things to report, now I'm afraid I'm going to forget some!

The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were very very friendly and helpful!!! There's free WIFI in the lobbies of ABC and the sister resort, Casa del Mar. That was so nice! Our cell phones can make calls/texts thru WIFI, so we were able to check in with family and the dog sitter without any hassle or expense! There's a little grocery store and a couple souvenir shops onsite, as well as a jewelry store. Very convenient! We took advantage of the pre-checkout arrangement on Friday evening so as to avoid any lines in the morning. Also very convenient!

The resort was very clean and beautiful. The pool area was lovely. The pools and hot tubs (at Casa del Mar) close around 7:00 (when it starts getting dark). But this didn't bother us at all. We were always having dinner by then. Yes, they issue a receipt with the towels. But it's not a big deal at all.

The superior room we stayed in (220, overlooking Casa del Mar pool) was wonderfully spacious. We loved having a kitchenette (had everything but an oven) in the room. We went to Super Foods and bought enough for breakfast and lunch (and snacks) for the week, as well as for drinks on the beach. Then we'd go out for dinner at night. It saved a LOT of money! And we loved the location of the room. That wing is right in the middle of the two resorts (they're connected), so it was super convenient to get to either lobby, pool, or restaurant. If we had an odd numbered room in that wing, we would have been facing the ABC pool and had a better view of the ocean, but I still loved our room and view! The TV's have been upgraded to flat screens (as opposed to the old boxed kind shown on ABC's website).

The resort and rooms aren't fancy, but it was EXTREMELY nice. It had everything we needed. We loved the onsite restaurants - Ricardo's and Matthew's. They were the closest restaurants to the water that we could find!! (Other than maybe Passions by Amsterdam Manor). We walked up and down the beach as far as we could (past the Divi resorts to the South and up to Eagle beach in the north) and we both agreed that our section of the beach/water was the nicest!!! The beach got very rocky (I'm talking big rocks/boulders) and narrow to the South (by some of the Divi resorts) and it was very seaweed-y to the North (by La Cabana and Amsterdam Manor). Our section had very wide beaches, with hardly any seaweed. One day we went to the high rise section to explore. While there were a TON of stores and restaurants there, we were not impressed with the size of the beach. Very narrow. Everyone had to be super close to each other. Not a fan of that. Of course, the sand itself was beautiful no matter what part of the beach we were on - sugary soft white sand that never got hot! And ABC provides a lot of chickees to choose from! Granted, we were there in off season...

Yes, there are a lot of older ones at this resort. But (based on previous reviews) I was really surprised at the number of young ones and young families staying here as well. I thought there was a really good variety of age groups.

There doesn't appear to be a lot of night life at the 2 resorts, but that was fine with us. We were there to relax and enjoy some piece and quiet! For those looking for night life, Matthew's has a karaoke/dance party on Wednesday nights, and Ricardo's is on Thursday. After dinner we always walked the beach then went to our room, so I'm not really sure what went on the other evenings/nights, but it was pretty quiet as far as we could tell. There is a piano bar at Fusions in the mall across the street. We had intended to check that out one evening, but never made it. Seemed like that would have been fun to go to.

There's a beautiful outdoor mall across the street with a mini market, stores, restaurants, coffee shop and ice cream shop. The bus stop is only a few minutes walk away. Super convenient!

In addition to the 2 onsite restaurants and the 2 restaurants in the mall across the street, there's also Pizza Bob's, The French Steakhouse (Manchebo, next door), and Elements (Bucuti, two resorts down) all within walking distance. I think Cart Blanche is also at Bucuti's, but we didn't eat there.

We absolutely loved this resort and the low-rise area. While we did stay fairly close to the resort most of the time, going into downtown Oranjestad or up to Fisherman's Huts for windsurfing was very easy thanks to the buses. Don't be afraid of the small buses! They're a little cheaper and sometimes faster than the big buses! Of course, taxis are also an option, but we never used them other than getting to/from the airport. We ended up walking to Super Foods and back, but it's a little far with groceries. I recommend having the front desk call a taxi for that trip (apparently buses won't take you there). We both agreed that when we go back to Aruba, we're staying at ABC!!!

The ONLY negative thing about ABC is, our bed was hard! But that's it :)

Room Tip: The two hundred wing is a great location with good views! It's right in the middle of the two r...

We spent a really nice three day weekend June 21-24 at ABC. Our two room suite, bedroom and living room with kitchenette, #245, was really very nice, with balcony right above the beach, 50 feet from the water. The restaurant and bar (Ricardo's) was moderately priced and had excellent food and service. It has a nice pool and beautiful beach. ABC is a short walk from a nicer than average casino and nearby hotels. Our only issue was that we were more comfortable sitting around the pool than on the beach, because the beach was windy and sometimes the sand blew.
We owe thanks to the reception desk staff, who went out of their way to be helpful, particularly the Front Desk/Reservations Manager, Teresa Britten, who could not have been nicer.

Room Tip: Our room #245 was at the end of the building right at the beach and was spacious and quite nice. Alt...

We've rented at ABC for the past 3 years and have enjoyed being right on the beach without all the other activities (jet skis, etc.) Great place to sit under the "Chickees" and just relax. The staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: All rooms have Caribbean Sea views.

We stayed at Aruba Beach Club (ABC) through an exchange for our Marriott time share. We had been to Aruba twice before and had always stayed on Palm Beach and decided to try Eagle Beach instead. Eagle Beach is a great walking beach very long and beautiful sunsets. However, Aruba Beach Club was a little disappointing. Although it was nice...a solid three star hotel...all of the guests were in mid-60s and over. Anyone under the age of 60 might feel out of place (we are early 50s and were by far youngest guests). My husband and I wanted a quiet romantic place and this was quiet, but had limited facilities and amenities, i.e., there is no concierge to book a restaurant reservation or any assistance for travel on the island. The in room internet while cheap, $35 for the week, is so bad it should be included we could not download a book from our room.
The rooms were, as I said solid three star hotel, but clearly NOT a four star property.as one reviewer said, this is NOT a Marriott.
The people there, while nice, were retirees who came and spent time together every year sometimes for several weeks, frequently gathering in a large group on the beach or by the pool. Also, chairs are limited and you must dash to the beach by about 6 a.m to get a cabana or chairs at all. If you go make sure you get towels the night before because the towel hut does not open until 10 a.m.
By far one great complaint of mine was although it said no smoking in several locations smokers were everywhere and the beach area was littered with a great deal of cigarette butts. It was a mess...which clearly is a reflection more on the inconsiderate smokers than the hotel itself, but even with the wind the smoke is still bad at this place.
We were fortunate to discover the bus which took us to Palm Beach in the evening because dining is rather limited in the immediate area. I read a comment about a lot within walking distance but I would disagree....we are runners accustomed to running or walking several miles a day and walked many places, but most would not choose to walk to most restaurants unless it was the one on the property. It is at least a mile to anything off property with the exception of the casino and a small strip mall outside the property.
It was a nice quiet place but we would not return to this particular location because there seems to be a lot more to choose from in Palm Beach in terms of things to do, but the bus can get you there quickly and I expensively if you do stay on Eagle Beach(taxis run about $7 one way from abc to Palm Beach)and it is great to talk to the Aruban people while you ride.

Room Tip: Try to get a room toward the beach end of the hotel.
