Comfortable, well appointed, easy pool and beach access, easy to reserve watersports. Affordable happy hour drinks every day, activities scheduled throughout the week. Beach and pool umbrellas reservable.

“If you want to be treated well, stay here.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

We have stayed here the past several trips and it feels like a second home to us because we see the same staff who treat us like family and welcome us back.

The beach is beautiful, restaurants delicious, it is close to the "new" area yet not on top of it so it is peaceful. Plenty of parking, a bus stop right out front. Amazing service when wanted (including beach service - make sure you seek out Ricardo)!

“No Way Would We Return”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

The Westin Resort Palm Beach Casino has to be the worst casino out of 6 casino in the same area. Very small, very dirty, and the staff, dealers, etc, are rude. They do not open tables until after 4pm, and then say they are always under staffed and can only open one or two table games at night. Certainly not worth the time to visit, with so many other much nicer casinos right in the same area.

“Very Pleasantly Surprised!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

After reading so many bad reviews I was very nervous about the Westin Aruba but was traveling on points so figured I would cope with any problems. When we arrived our rooms were ready and were large, mold free and clean. The bathroom was spacious and also in very good condition. The beach is gorgeous, the food at the beach restaurant is excellent with a large selection, the beach is the best on the island with a constant breeze which keeps it comfortable all day and the staff was helpful.......IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS AND VISIT THE WESTIN. The hotel is in the process of being sold, and when/if that happens it may no longer stay a Westin (a rumor is that the RIU purchased the property, although a Westin manager says they are just one of several bidders).
The Radisson has a slightly better location (directly across from many restaurants) although it is only a six minute walk from the Westin to the Radisson, so not a deal breaker.
We enjoyed the outdoor restaurant at the pier in front of the Radisson (the pier also has a Dunkin Donuts), although be prepared to wait 90 minutes for food at lunchtime. Two must visit restaurants if you are a foodie - White Modern Cuisine and Wacky Wahoo's. White Modern is inventive, carefully constructed food, and is well worth a visit if you are willing to turn yourself over to the chef's creativity and ask for no substitutions. Wacky Wahoo's is more traditional Aruban food, and was equally delicious but much more of a down home style.
I loved the Red Sail half day snorkel to the sunken WWII ship, but was less impressed with De Palm full day jeep tour to the Natural Pool. It was too long with not enough to see to make it interesting (although many will disagree with me).
Stand Up Paddle was a great introduction to stand up paddle boarding, and Jereme was a super teacher (located all the way up the beach next to the Ritz - a far walk, but totally doable).
In closing, if I had the points I would rush back to the Westin Aruba for President's Week, and suggest you do the same.
