We recently completed a 3 week vacation to Aruba staying at the Marriott. One of our favorite eateries was along the beach on the boardwalk near the Playa Linda Resort in Palm Beach; Carlito’s Sports Beach Bar. It’s very informal and casual, several TV screens airing a host of sporting events. Memorabilia from customers adorn the walls, license plates, hats, and customer generated graffiti as the owners let people write about themselves on the walls. It is simple, cute, and a great atmosphere for good food and great drinks right on the beach. They sell ball caps of your favorite teams where it is also inscribed on the hat Aruba One Happy Island, a good collectors piece. I picked up a 49ers hat there.

Prices are about the best you can find on the island. It serves mainly American cuisine, burgers, sandwiches, fries etc and is excellent. The drink menu for the bar is varied and typical of what you find in Aruba; my favorite being their mojitos and its always happy hour.

A great place to get out of the sun, enjoy good food and drink and best of all the service. A family from Columbia own Carlito’s and they are very personable and provide excellent service. We went there several times and we were always greeted with a smile and made to feel like part of the family. The next time we go to Aruba, Carlito’s will definitely be on our list of must go to places.

I had one of the best hamburgers with bacon and all the trimmings I think I've ever had and it was so huge I had trouble finishing it!! Being from Maryland, loved seeing a Baltimore Ravens Ray Lewis poster and also a Ravens cap on display!! So cool!!
