“Perfect honeymoon location”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

My wife and I spent 2 weeks here on honeymoon in August / September and have to say it was the perfect honeymoon location. The beach front location is idyllic, the rooms clean and well appointed. However what makes the place so special is the staff. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everyone went out of their way to make us feel special and could nto do enough for us. Special mention to Anchie who provides the beach towels, who always had a smile and a kind word for you every day. One day the air conditioning in our room broke, and within 20 minutes of reporting it, the engineer had attended and it was working again....very good service. The food is excellent and the sand bar provides some of the best cocktails you will have anywhere.
You will never have any trouble getting a lounger on the beach and the "red flag" system for ordering drinks on the beach works very well.
Also, can't finish this review without mentioning the great entertainment provided by Paco and Jessie, the resident parrot and parakeet. Paco can speak a few words in 4 languages, and is great fun once he starts talking, whilst Jessie is just mad.
All in all, the perfect location for a honeymoon or romantic break.

My wife and I spent the first 5 nights of our honeymoon here and had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out, the staff was always helpful and the facilities were just what we wanted. The dinner on the beach is highly recommended!

Bucuti is a great hotel to stay - the staff cannot do enough for you - from breakfast to dinner to handing out towels all done with a smile!! Beach is very clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious with great views. Nice touch for our anniversary of champagne, cheese and biscuits and chocolate was very much appreciated. Ate at Pizza Bobs, Pirates Nest, Passions, Iguana Joes, Ginger, French Steakhouse and Giorgios all of which were very good.

Room Tip: Garden view room was more than adequate - all rooms look great

My wife and I just returned from celebrating her 50th birthday. We were there for 7 days. We had a great time. Our trip was from the second week in September. Now let's get to the review. Pros: The location of the resort was perfect. The beach was great, white sand and well manicured. The water was green with no algae. Our room was a Tara suite on the bottom floor. We were 50 yards from the water. Not as nice of a view, BUT it was great being 20 yards from the beach bar and food and 30 yards from out beach chairs by going out our sliding glass door of our room. We did not even have to go through the hotel. I would request the bottom floor for certain. There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. The food was very good at the beach bar and the drinks were excellent. Marina the bartender was wonderful. Edwin, the night security, is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, and came through in our crisis (my wife, emergency room, etc..). Everyone, from Deborah the hotel manager or Akeem our beach boy, did everything in their power to see we had a great trip. The service was off the scale. Everyone in Aruba was very helpful and super friendly. I rated the sleep quality average due to the pillows and the rooms were very not very dark because of the outside security lights and the "blue" light switches in the room, ask for tape to cover them. Not that big of a deal. Also, one of the best parts was the resort was fully booked and I felt as if nobody was there. Nothing was crowded.
Cons: I had to leave, that is about it.
Bottom line, if I go back to Aruba I'm going to Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort.

Room Tip: Tara suites on the bottom floor are so convenient, right next to everything and you can go out your...

Once again, we have visited Aruba and stayed at the Bucuti and, once again, it was a relaxing vacation! The employees welcome us back with open arms, as usual. (we have stayed there eleven times) Every year when we return, there are always little changes that either make our stay more comfortable, pleasant or beautiful! We love the fact that no one under 18 is allowed because this does make for a quiet time. We even met a young newlywed couple from our own hometown while there. Small world for sure! Everyone needs to stay at the Bucuti at least once in their lifetime! Maybe we will see YOU there next time!

We spent a lazy 14 nights at the Bucuti in July 2012. We were celebrating our tenth Wedding Anniversary and wanted a second honeymoon. We could not have chosen better. The beach, the balcony vista (we had upgraded to an ocean view), the food and the service were faultless from start to finish We experienced only one minor problem during our stay, with the air conditioning, it was rectified immediately and without fuss. The Tara Suite breakfast buffet is unbelievable and the staff absolutely delightful. We will be returning as soon as we can!

My wife & I just returned from our first trip to Aruba, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We will be going again, and will likely stay at Bucuti again. The beach is picture-perfect, quiet, not at all crowded. We went to Palm beach one afternoon: while there are lots more shops & restaurants nearby, there are also lots more people. Our vote: Eagle beach. The folks at Bucuti were all very friendly, polite, and helpful. We were greeted with champagne while we checked in. Afterwards we were taken to our beach bungalow suite & shown the amenities. The view from our room was unbeatable! We very much enjoyed our anniversary gift of champagne, cheese & crackers. We never had trouble getting a place on the beach. Breakfast was fantastic! Plenty of choices, whether you're in the mood for something light or hearty. Cab rides to Palm beach & Oranjestad were less than $10 each way. We picked up pizza from Pizza Bob's one night & enjoyed it on our front porch. Nearby (just past the Casa del Mar "Ambassador Suites") there's also a little shopping center with a convenience store: great place to pick up sunscreen, cigars, beer, and snacks. In booking this trip, we read TONS of reviews, from excellent to terrible, on Bucuti & a couple of other low-rise resorts. The "adults only" policy was a deciding factor, along with "Google Earth" views of the beach! We could have happily spent the entire trip seated on our beach chairs under the umbrella, enjoying the view & the drinks, but we did take in the Palm beach trip with lunch at Moombah Beach Bar (good), a visit to the butterfly garden (worth it), and an afternoon in Oranjestad at/near Royal Plaza for shopping (lots to see) & eating at Iguana Joe's (not impressed). But back to the Bucuti: our room was very nice, bed super comfortable. They had recently put in charging stations for cell phones, which was handy. When we were being shown our room the young man noticed our bath tub had not been cleaned. He said he'd notify housekeeping. They were there in about 5 minutes & cleaned it. He then came back shortly after that to double check it and brought us coupons for a free drink from the bar-very nice & much appreciated. Overall, it was a great trip! We can't wait to come back!
