This was one of our best vacations ever. We went to the Surf Club not knowing what to expect but thought that for the most part it was wonderful! The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were perfect. Our only frustration was with the front desk. It seemed there was always a line so even if we had a quick little question, we might have to wait 30-45 minutes for our turn. Possibly an express line might work!
We rented a car but think that we really did not need to do that. Most of the places we went to were in walking distance. One of our favorite activities was a snorkel trip on the Sea Venture catamaran. It was a smaller group and the 2 young men running the trip were delightful and happy to share all sorts of information about the island and its culture.
Every night we went to a different place for dinner including Simply Fish(delightful but pricey), Casa Tua and Smokey Joes. Food is expensive but places in your price range can be found with a little research. We also ate at the restaurant by the lighthouse and loved that.
We definitely plan to go to Aruba and the Surf Club again!More
