We loved the location and the view. Great gathering spot to watch the sunset and grab some appetizers. Loved the vibe.

After a couple days of boring resort food for lunch, we decided to take the 5 minute walk from the Westin over to the (DePalm) Pier to try Bugaloes. The first day I tried both the "kroket" (which from online searches say is a "deep fried cylindrical nugget of pure suprise", which is true, because I wasnt exactly sure what was on the inside, but it was good. reminded me of falafel), and the frikandel (which is basically a hot dog). Both were good and cheap. The wife had the curry shrimp salad- veggies were fresh and the spices on the shrimp were tasty. Also tried the wings- which come with a sweet Thai chili and traditional bbq sauce. Good wings, not overly cooked/dry, nicely breaded. Cocktails will also run between $5-$7.

Great relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Just a word- you walk in and seat yourself, and just flag down a server when you're ready. Perfect change of pace if you're tired of the same old tired resort lunches.

We also walked by one night and it was really hopping with live music.

We are from Florida and we are always looking for a casual spot on the water and a great fish sandwich. We are normally disappointed on vacation. Not here! Great grilled fish sandwich on French bread and great Gouda grilled cheese. It was so good we went back 4 times! Much better than fancy seafood places on island. We went back for steak and shrimp for dinner that was amazing!

Just had lunch here, sandwiches good, price reasonable and of course youre right on beach so views of crystal blue water everywhere. We did wait about 40 mins on food but what's the hurry I guess.
