This was my first (and won't be my last) trip to Aruba. It was a 50th b'day gift, and my daughter joined me. We wanted a place away from all the "crowds" and boy did we find it. The staff was wonderfully pleasant, helpful, and friendly. The resort is lovely and clean; and restaurants are very good. Happy hour couldn't be better and Craig made us laugh every night! We did some adventuring too...went snorkeling and did the safari to the natural pool...loved both trips. I can go on and on...but don't want this hidden gem to become too well known!!

Room Tip: i couldn't justify paying more for an ocean view room when i was on it every day. would rather...

Me and my family love the Dutch Antilles and realy like this place. So far we have stayed at Manchebo every time when in Aruba as the location is the absolute best. About 60 % of the guests are frequent returning guests wich is very nice and tells allot. The staff is very nice and open minded. A disturbing issue is the events like big weddings etc. and this is the same problem every year. Invited guests for these events, both guests staying at Manchebo and from other hotels, comes and can actually act without any respect for the other guests and without regulations from management. We and many other guests we know return to Manchebo for the peacefulness, quiet and relaxing resort. Although during the events this is non existant wich is a real shame.

Thank you for your feedback and for returning to Manchebo for so many years in a row. It indeed says a lot. I also appreciate you letting me know about the wedding group issue - I will certainly review this with our team. See you back next year.

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at Manchebo and loved every minute. The food and accommodations were only exceeded by the genuine friendliness of the staff. Highly recommend! The location was good...was expected fewer waves, but the water was beautiful. The restaurants were truly excellent. We liked Ike's Bistro the best. I can't say enough about how the staff embraced us and made us feel at home. The spa was out of this world. I never liked massages that much until I experienced a massage at Manchebo. One word of caution: avoid the Arriva Aruba drink unless you want to start out cockeyed:) Seriously, the bartenders were very good. My wife and I enjoyed the drink called Macho Mango.

This is one of the nicest places to stay if you want wide open beaches, relaxation, and most of all, friendly staff to take care of your needs. We had a ocean view room and there is no better view of the ocean.

Room Tip: Get an ocean view room. It's worth the extra cash.

We stayed at the Manchebo during our visit to Aruba at the end of October 2013. What an outstanding experience! Upon our arrival, we were shown to our room by Jones and within minutes, Lincoln arrived with a welcome mojito. Over the course of the week, we felt right at home, due in large part to the warm, friendly staff.

Our room (#14) was literally steps away from the beach - which just so happened to be the best beach on the island (even according to locals). Absolutely stunning views - white sugary sand and crystal blue water. Each day we had the breakfast buffet at Ike's Restaurant/Pega Pega, and it was consistently delicious. We had no problem reserving lounge chairs and our own palapa each morning, with help from members of the staff.

The first few days of our trip were spent relaxing on the beach, and we were able to enjoy delicious mojitos, coconut mudslides and the most amazing fish tacos on the planet. We actually ended up having the fish tacos just about every day that we were there - they are that good.

The front desk staff (Magda? especially) were very helpful in finding us dinner reservations and a specific snorkeling adventure that we had requested. Throughout our stay, she was pleasant, kind, and happy to assist.

We will definitely return to Aruba and when we do, of course will stay at Manchebo!!

Another 10 days at the Manchebo, sounds like the same old vacation. It is…perfect. The moment we arrived the stress from the early morning flight and sleepless night was erased, greeted by a warm welcome and a refreshing mojito we have a renewed energy- the beach is beckoning, still the most beautiful beach on the island, plenty of chairs, clean soft sand, waves to jump and a beautiful sun setting for everlasting pictures. The resort has added some changes all geared to the quest, new beach towels, new chairs, seating around the pavilion and a Keurig machine in the room with complimentary K-cups, all very nice touches. The staff is very friendly, willing to help make your vacation a pleasant stay, you are always greeted with a hello, and Carlos and Juan are quick to help you with your chairs on the beach, Jean Ray is there to bring your lunch or a refreshing drink to enjoy at your chair and Ziggy, Lincoln and crew are awaiting you at 5:00 for happy hour. The resort is a hidden gem, walking distance to the casino, restaurants and shops. I come for the beach…I return because of the staff, they go above and beyond, we are very comfortable there, and it is home away from home. We will be back 2014, thank you Manchebo for another wonderful vacation. To The GM: two words…hot tub 

Room Tip: the hotel is a two floor resort, all rooms are conveniently located around all restaurants and beach

Thank you for your nice review and for returning for so many years. Glad to read that you are enjoying all of the extra amenities that we have been adding over the years to make Manchebo a special place to return to. And I agree with you fully that the Manchebo team members make this place a home away from home for many. And sure let's put the Hot Tub in the planning.

My wife and I stayed at Manchebo in mid-November 2013. We had an awesome time! The rooms are very modern and clean. They include a safe, a microwave, mini-fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. We never had to wait for a cabana or beach chairs, the beach is huge! The pool is on the smaller size but we didn't mind. There were mostly couples at this resort, which made for a quiet area. We had burgers at Pega-Pega and they were delicious. We took a bus to the high rise hotel area and to Oranjestad a few times to try out different restaurants. There's a Dunkin Donuts within walking distance as well as a small grocery store, You can buy a 6-pack of Balashi beer and take it to the beach in the small cooler included in your room. I would recommend Manchebo to those couples seeking a quiet, calm beach area. If you're looking for nightlife activities, the high rise hotels would be more appropriate for you.

Room Tip: We chose a garden view room but we were rarely in the room so it didn't matter!
