What a beautiful place!!! The rooms were great, the food was great, and the bar was to die for!! Best bartender on the island!! Aruba is a must see!! My husband and i went in Dec 2011 for a four night stay at Manchebo. Not near long enough!!! We enjoyed the resort and all the friendly people! Highly recommend this resort and will definately be going back soon!!

Many years ago we discovered Manchebo and Aruba, an oasis in a fast paced world. Located on the most beautiful beach on the island is MANCHEBO BEACH RESORT AND SPA. From check-in to check-out the complete staff was welcoming, friendly and efficient. They treated us like family. Our room was ocean front, nicely appointed and with all the amenities you would need.Watching the sailboats and sunsets from our balcony was spectacular as well, The restaurants, bar and spa only enhanced the ambiance of this treasure. Whether you want to "do it all" or "nothing at all", Manchebo will become your home away from home too! Looking forward to our next trip already,,,,,,

Room Tip: Higher floors on the south side have the best overall views.

Thank you for the very nice review. Glad you call Manchebo your home away from like so many customers who have been visiting our intimate boutique resort for so many years. We have guests returning for 5, 10 up to 25 years to their favorite spot in the Caribbean. See you back next year.

We had a wonderful experience here, and if I am lucky enough to make it back to Aruba, I will be staying here again. The location couldn't have been more perfect, a beautiful beach away from the craziness of the high rise hotels. The service was excellent, and the opportunity to practice yoga in the morning looking out onto the crystal blue water was amazing.

Room Tip: I would recommend the garden rooms, they are a bit more private.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation and especially our yoga program. It is a nice and much appreciated feature at the resort for those who like to start off the morning in a super relaxing way. See you back next time.

It's a good spot for a relaxing low key vacation. The beach is probably the best on the island. Although it was relatively comfortable and very relaxing the rooms, service and staff were simply average. We were totally disappointed in the food. Luckily we didn't choose an all inclusive package and we were able to explore other restaurants on the island (we highly recommend the Driftwood).
It's a little difficult not to love a visit to Aruba no matter where you stay but we will definitely try another property on our next visit.

Room Tip: Ocean View is fabulous

We stayed at Manchebo for three weeks on our honeymoon in August; I can honestly say that we did not regret choosing Manchebo for one moment. We had the Ocean Front Room (73). This room is slightly larger than the standard rooms, it has a higher spec tv and more storage space, it also has the most enormous and comfortable bed. The air con was impressive to say the least, it cooled the room in moments and operated at a very low noise level so it was not at all intrusive.

We opted for the all inclusive Honeymoon Package simply because we did not want to worry about how much we were spending during our honeymoon. However in future, as we will definitely be returning to Manchebo, we would probably go all inclusive for one week and then Bed and Breakfast for the second week. There are plenty of really good restaurants and bars within both walking distance and a $9 taxi ride. We are both foodies and were not disappointed by the quality or choice of food available at Manchebo, however sometimes we wanted something simple for dinner, which is not really an option at Manchebo. Having said that the food, especially the chicken wings and the burgers, at the Pego Pego Bar is fantastic, however the kitchen closes here at 7pm. If I were to recommend anything to improve Manchebo it would be to extend the kitchen hours at Pego Pego, but this is a very small point in the larger scheme of things.

So what makes Manchebo so special? Well a number of things: firstly it is spotlessly clean, every part of the hotel is swept and cleaned almost constantly, and the gardening team do a fantastic job. Secondly the beach, as has been said so many times on Trip Advisor the beach is amazing, in order to keep the sand pristine it is regularly rotivated to take out any large, hard pieces of rock/coral, which maintains its powdery consistency. However the main reason that we will be returning to Manchebo is because of the staff.

I have travelled widely and stayed in all sorts of hotels and I can honestly say that I have never found anywhere that looks after its guests in the way that the staff at Manchebo do. Right from the time we arrived, when Mr Jones took our luggage to our room and clearly went through every aspect of the room, to the way in which Sandra on reception could organise anything given enough time, to Cynthia at breakfast who made us feel that we were part of her family, Jason, June and Jean in Georgio's who made us feel really special and looked after, Raymond in The French Steakhouse and Maria who popped up everywhere (!), Anna Marie, Fanny, Glenda, Diana, Iggy and the fantastic Lionel and even Rosaura who looked after our room, every one of them made us feel like we were more than guests, we were made to feel like we were friends. This is a real skill and one that the general manager could do with learning from his staff!

In terms of the other guests, mostly American, a large rowdy group arrived from New York at the end of our first week, which somewhat marred an otherwise idyllic three weeks. Manchebo is not a large hotel, so a big group of people can be a bit overwhelming for other guests. However this is beyond the control of the hotel.

The whole point of Manchebo is relaxation, so if you want beach activities, water sports etc this is really not for you. If however you want peace, quiet, relaxation in what has to be one of the friendliest hotels in the world, then look no further than Manchebo. I can't wait to return to this little piece of Paradise.

The beach is great, water is beautiful, however, that is the best part of this resort. Fortunately, there are many more resorts with the same beach and water that I would stay at on my next visit to Aruba. The room was basic, not nearly as nice as in the photos. The food was mediocre at best and the service was terrible. Many of the staff seemed like they did not want to be there and were just doing their time before they had to go home. When ordering a drink or food, the wait was extremely long, even by island time standards. On the day we arrived, we went straight to the pool bar and ordered 2 drinks and an appetizer. We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes before receiving the appetizer and 25 minutes before receiving our drink. There were 2 bartenders and 5 other guests at the bar. This was the trend the entire time. Slow service, overall, not freindly, and many times the drink or food delivered was not what we ordered. We just went with it after the second day of this since it was faster to keep what we received than wait for a replacement. I will be back to Aruba, however, I will stay at one of the other resorts, definitely not here again.

Room Tip: Stay at a different resort.

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry to see that the restaurant experience was not always as expected. Needless to say our staff knows they can and must do better and I am happy to say that the team is doing a wonderful job surpassing customer expectations every day.
