Owner description: A great dive, not just because of the Debbie II wreck but because of ample brain coral and schools of barracuda patrolling the area.

beautiful Caribbean water down the stretch from Palm Beach. Quiet area to visit for my hubby and I. It was worth the short drive from Palm Beach area.

We come at this reef from the shore. I almost hate to tell you this, because I would love to keep it a secret... Get there first thing in the morning and simply wade in.
You'll be shocked SHOCKED at the number of fish and the quality of the coral. Look for eels, turtles, huge 'cudas, frog fish (look very carefully), flounder, all the usual reef suspects, etc, etc, etc,
The only drawback is that this is one of the premier destinations for the tour boats and, on Aruba, that means it can get pretty crowded in the middle of the day. Still terrific, but the larger fish will shy away when they hear the Bob Marley music coming.

Malmok Reef suffers only from the lack of cleaning that is done at other sites. If a little seaweed and slime do not bother you then this is a nice area to visit and privately enjoy.

No need for a dive certification as the snorkeling is wonderful. Lots of colorful fish and sea urchins you may even see some starfish. Very nice spot for swimming.

This is well worth it, mind you you could take your scuba gear and rent a car or take the bus to this reef, but it was part of the Antilla tour, bring bread to feed the fish
