This was my sister's and my first time in Aruba. Both of us agreed that it was one of the best short vacations we have had. We arrived on January 23, and the weather was perfect for the five days we were there. Our room was on the top floor and the view was spectacular. I cannot say enough about the staff at the resort. From check-in to check-out everyone of the staff that we encountered at the restaurants, cafe, hut, beach and concierge desk were very pleasant and helpful. The resort itself is beautiful and very well-kept. We checked in with Angelina who I cannot say enough nice things about. How lucky the Marriott is to have someone so special on staff. As a Marriott Rewards customer, I have always found most of the hotels or inns very clean and the staff very personable and helpful. We will be returning to Aruba in 2015 if not sooner

Room Tip: 6th or 7th floor front best views little noise

Our family (six adults) just returned from a wonderful trip to Aruba! The Marriott Hotel Resort is one of the best on the island—great beach, beautiful grounds, very comfortable rooms, but most importantly, very friendly and helpful staff. We were there for five days (sure wish it could have been longer!) and stayed on the Trade Winds floor which included a full breakfast and lunch and evening sampler buffet with drinks. The food was very tasty and plentiful enough that we did not have the need to eat anywhere else while we were there, unless we were away from the hotel during the meal times. I have to say that Crystal was our favorite food server—she was always so pleasant, had a cheerful smile and a great willingness to serve--an outstanding employee!! At the Tradwinds desk at check-in and throughout our stay, both Erna and Maria were always very helpful and welcoming. And there was Alamina who worked the Tradewinds pool area – she is a true servant at heart – willing to get anything you need with a smile. At the main lobby desk Raymond deserves special mention for the assistance he provided, and particularly with a security related request during our stay, both Edward and Almouic went out of their way to assist in resolving the problem. Our entire stay was nearly perfect. We spent very relaxing hours on the beach where the four younger adults also had an enjoyable time using paddle boards and rafts. Excursions arranged at the hotel included a sunset sail on a catamaran, a snorkeling/diving trip, and a drive around the north end of the island with a rental car. We finished our vacation by eating at Marriott’s Simply Fish our last night. The restaurant price there is a little on the high side, but eating delicious seafood by candle light with your feet in the sand and the ocean only 75 feet away is delightful! Aruba really is one of the best beach vacations we have ever had!!

Room Tip: The Tradewinds Resort on the 7th floor is worth the extra money! The rooms towards the end of the u-shape hallways have better ocean views. Regardless, stay on the highest floor you can as the view of the pool and beach are much nicer on floors 5-7.

Late in 2013 we spent a week at the Marriott Aruba. We had stayed at the Hyatt for the last 3-4 years but our last time there we decided not to go back. The Marriott was a welcome surprise. We stayed on the Tradewinds floor and I didn`t think we`d like it but we did. There is a trade winds part of the beach presided over by Herminia. Actually other nice people work there also. However, Herminia was a lot of fun. Very funny.

Visited Aruba for the first time Jan. 23 and our stay could not have been better. We loved the island, the excursions and just relaxing on the beach. The weather was 85 everyday and the sun is very hot but the constant breeze keeps you from having to go in the water every 15 minutes to cool off. Now for the Marriott Stellaris. The staff was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Benrick who showed us to our room and gave us tips on restaurants and our resort. Reshma was a pleasure at check-in. We are Marriott Rewards members and the added perks they gave were much appreciated. The resort itself is among the cleanest and well-kept we have ever stayed at. The pool area as well as the rooms, lobby and hallways are immaculate. Booked our tours at the concierge desk and Bryan was very friendly and helpful. The café in the lobby has great snacks and Gelato. Everything was fresh and the apple turnovers are highly recommended (we brought three home on the plane). We did not reserve a palapa (fee for reserving in advance) but did go to the hut at 7:30 one morning and were able to get one without a problem. You can leave your towels at the palapa but have to be physically there by 10 a.m. Very fair so nobody can tie up a palapa all day and show up at 2 or 3. The other days we were able to get one in the afternoons after our excursions. The most we had to wait was about 30 minutes, but they open up as people leave. Just have to check with the folks at the hut. This trip could not have gone any smoother. The people at the Marriott (and on the island) are genuinely friendly. We're already planning a return trip.

Room Tip: High floor overlooking the adult pool. Very quiet and still get a great view from your balcony
