My husband and I agree with previous reviewers that this is a beautiful hotel and The Tradewinds is a great value because of the meals and the nice private beach area. We wake up about 6:45 on vacation and before the gym we stopped at the beach and had no problem getting a palapa. Hermina is an added bonus and brought us water, cool towels and her lovely dispositon through out the day. We also liked that we could walk along the beach or on the nearby walkway to many fine restaurants. On those walks we saw a beautiful sunset over the water most nights. Our concierge, Margaret made all our reservatiions and answered all our questions Except for a day trip to Curacao we did plenty of nothing!

Room Tip: Tradewinds facing the water

The stellaris has been great. Friendly staff, clean and in a great location. The breakfast buffet (I'm not a buffet guy) is worth it's money three times over. We booked a room near the construction and got a reduced rate of 50% a standard room. The construction is all but finished and not a worry. When we got here they upgraded us to oceanfront anyway for free! Overall we are very happy with the resort and would stay here again!

Room Tip: Book construction rate room it's not an issue the ritz Carlton is almost finished anyway. We got...

My husband & I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary during the February vacation. We stayed at the Marriott Surf Club as owners. We did not have a car and wanted some good fish with a romantic atmosphere. Simply Fish provided just that and more. The menu is great but the romantic surfside table with white linens and candles was just what we were looking for. Even better was the wait staff. The hostess and waiters were so accommodating and friendly! They knew us by name after the 1st night. Their names are Brandon & Oscar. We could not have been more satisfied with their service and hospitality. Brandon even gave us a small souvenir of Aruba. We ate every dinner with Brandon & Oscar!

Although I have not logged many reviews with TA, I have extensive experience traveling for business and personally. I stayed at the Stellaris over school vacation for 6 nights with my 2 year old, 9 year old and husband for 6 nights. I booked the room with Rewards points (Gold member). I booked the only view available at the time which was over looking the Ritz construction and the ocean (North Wing, 6th Floor, Room 664). The construction was no big deal. I would book the room again. Upon check-in we were greeted with a fruity, tropical punch (virgin).

The service was unbelievable. Everybody we encountered at the resort was friendly and helpful, especially our waiter Alexis in the buffet and our room keeper, Luz. Luz left little stuffed animals, chocolate and faux flowers (a bit tacky but the thought that counts) in the room for the kids. She stopped by every evening asking if we needed anything for the night or next morning and was always overly friendly and accommodating when we needed her.

The Marriott hotel restaurants were pricey but had excellent food and service compared to the restaurants elsewhere on the island (we dined at all). The service elsewhere is Aruba left something to be desired. The food we got at Hadicurari was good but never received our kids' meals, Hosteria da Vittorio's food was awesome, servers were very attentive but the language barrier created some interesting twists to what we thought we ordered and Texas de Brasil was awesome but expensive.

Beach/Palapas/Pool- reserved one day prior to and it was a waste of 45min, wasn't near the water. Grab one of the loungers with the shade over it, just as good. Beach was crowded with people and water sports but nice overall. Pool was really nice became crowded mid-week. Lounge chair were annoyingly hard to come by where nobody was ever occupying them just their towels.

Resort/Gym- The resort, rooms and gym were clean. The rooms/baths were very spacious and inviting. My only issue was the mattress cover seemed not to breath (hot) and wrinkled up under me making for a few sleepless nights (had this happen at another Marriott). Location was nice. Just wish they continued the beach path from the Hadicurari to the mall/shopping area so you didn't have to walk past the mess in between.

Room Tip: North Side Rooms on the 6th (664) Floor overlooked the construction and the ocean. The construction...

The Marriott in Aruba was clean, beautiful and had the best views around. We had a corner room with glass windows on the outer two walls facing the most beautiful colored ocean we had ever seen. The pool was inviting with tropical lush plants everywhere. There were great places to eat on site and the staff were friendly and very helpful. No need to buy bottled water, you could drink it from the faucet. Each day of our stay the staff arranged our outings, from jeep rentals to viewing old ruins. It was family friendly even with the casino. Shopping was available on site for take home gifts. Great place for picture taking and fun memories.

I went there with my mom; we spent a week there together.

Even if it's a casino hotel, I would not rule out the idea of a family hotel. There were many families with kids, who were mostly spending their time at the pool or at the beach. It is also ideal for couples, and for single people who want to have fun. We are not gamblers, and didn't even feel the casino being there.

The hotel is ideally located- you can enjoy lovely walks along the shore. You can even walk to other resorts nearby or, for instance, go to the mall. What we also did was rent a car to visit nearby beaches that are more secluded than the ones at the hotel, for some peace and quiet. They are worth visiting.

Food quality is also good. Breakfast especially. You can even have it in your room.

The room we were in had a weird stain on the wall and before we would even ask, they changed us to another room; the service is really great. The rooms all have nice views- but obviously the ones that face the ocean are much better than the ones facing the pool, which can be noisy sometimes. Rooms on the Southern side could satisfy you want some silence.

I especially liked the beach, not being much of a pool person. I could read a book there perfectly at ease, with a drink and some food from the hotel, marvellous.

Room Tip: If you're picky with rooms, ask well before getting one. Some are noisier than others, and some...

We always sat near the pool site and then spent a long walk along the beach to the left and right sides of the hotel. Food was great. We went for a wedding at near by resort. It was a nice walking distance to other resorts and shopping malls.

What I did not like was smoke from the casino. We tried to avoid walking the other end of the building where it was far from the casino. Food was offered all night. You could eat any time. It was safe to walk at night. A bowling place was not far from the hotel. We enjoyed walking along the road side too.

Room Tip: The price and service was great. We love Aloe drink. It made us feel fresh up and cool. If you do no...
