My wife and I last went to Aruba in June of this year. We decided to go again in November and choose to go back to the Marriott hotel and stay in the Trade Winds club. But prior to our arrival, we stayed at the Westin Hotel for 2 nights at the other end of the beach. The Westin Hotel was nice, but did not compare to the Marriott at all. Again I must give the Marriott's Trade winds Club straight A's.
Everything was awesome!! The food, the service, the room and the beach and pools. We spent time at both the regular pool, and the new adult only pool, as well as the beach. The grounds were well kept as usual. The Trade Winds was just as good as it was in my June trip. Several staff members at the hotel actually remembered us from our last trip. If you go, look for Hermeania at the tradewinds beach hut, or in the gym. She treats everyone like family. You can always count on great service from Alix, the lobby Bartender and Jess, the pool waitress at the Adult Pool. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jose, the operations manager. He was at the Club Lounge Daily, checking with the guests to make sure their stay was awesome. He always took time to stop and actually talk for a few minutes, and was very personalble. As I said in my 1st review, if this in your budget ($150) daily per couple, I highly, highly recommend it. Between the food and drinks, its well worth it, not to mention the premium view and all the other perks. You will not be disappointed. Remember it's daily breakfast of assorted hot and cold items, daily lunch of sandwiches, soup and salads, and cocktail hour with hot and cold food, with items like steak, lamb, shrimp, grouper, pork, pasta etc etc, snacks, cheese platters, desserts during lunch and cocktail hour...OPEN BAR, between 6 and 9 everynight!!!! Unlimited BEER and Soda, juice, water and coffee all day!!! This is really a no brainer!!

The hotel is very nice, have a good location on the beach. As is the last one from south to north in Palm Beach, you are in the walk distance of a crowded area (south) and a calm area (north). If you like a good breakfast you have it in the hotel. Great restaurants at a walk distance and in the hotel (Ruth Chris). Rooms are clean and quiet. Dont worry, you are about to do a good choice.

We visitied the Marriott in late October using a "deal" that gave us an excellent rate on a 4 night stay in exchange for sitting through a time share presentation. The hotel is very nice and without a doubt is ideal for families. The pool is fantastic with a "lazy river" type of loop to float around in as well as areas to swim and a swim up bar. The resort is huge and, depending on where you are staying, the beach can be a little bit of a hike. Not an issue for those of us who love to walk and be outdoors. There are many places to eat, drink and be merry, though most places are a bit pricey and if you venture out of the hotel, you can definitely find better deals from happy hour to food. The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfy. The time share rooms we were shown were more spacious, but we don't feel like time shares as a whole are worth the cost. We would absolutely recommend the Marriott, especially if you can get a good rate. If you can't, the Holiday Inn is a great option, just down the beach, it has a larger, more accessible beach, a nice pool and is much more affordable.

We planned a trip to Aruba from New York, as we were visiting there to see relatives we decided to make a 4 day break and get some sun at the beach. Unfortunately, hurricane Sandy was beginning to form and affected the weather in Aruba with a small amount of rain and cloudy overcast sky everyday we were there. Well cannot really complain, as there has been a lot of damage done by Sandy, and we were very fortunate to not be severely impacted by the storm. The beach is gorgeous and there is enough space between the palapas to give everyone some privacy. Walked down the beach, and you will realise that the Marriott has a nice quite stretch compared to the others along the way. The food at the beach served at the Marriott was very good, we had the Grouper fish sandwich and fish tacos on different days and it was fresh, tasty and I would not hesitate to eat there every time for lunch. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are large and the cleaning staff are excellent. We were booked for a garden view, but as a Marriottt member they upgraded us to a pool partial oceanview when checking in and we were completely satisfied with the room and soft bed to sleep on. The sushi bar has great tasting sushi, we went there for a snack after playing at the casino. No smoking restriction at the casino, so when you come out you will have to take a shower to get the smoky smell out. The breakfast buffet is standard Marriott fare that is served everywhere, nothing really unique. The front desk and concierge was very helpful in making reservations for dinner at off site restaurant. Highly recommend Amazonia (Brazilian Steakhouse) and Aqua Grill (Seafood), but avoid Le Petit Cafe unless you want lousy food and bad service. The only issue I have was with the doorman, who seem to think that if you were not asking for a cab and only taking the shuttle to the Marriott Timeshare area that you are not worthy of being greeted the same as others were who were asking for a cab. Just a reminder to this individual, who was a elderly gentleman, that you cannot judge an individual by the way they look and should not assume that they are not worthy of the same service as others, shame on you. Anyways it was a great hotel in Aruba, so do not hesitate to stay here.

This is a great hotel, we had a big room with sea view, it was just like an appartment so big, great bathroom, lovely bed and a very large balcony. The room was perfectly clean and the people in Aruba are very nice and warm. We felt immediately welcome.
The breakfast is very good, fresh and a lot of choise.
At our last day, after checking out, we could use a room for showering and storage our suitcases, as we left in the evening. This was for free. ;-)
