We are staying at the Marriott and figured we would have a fine dining experience at Simply Fish and we were incredibly wrong. We ordered a bottle of wine and it wasn't even the right year, when we tried to communicate this to our waitress it was incredibly difficult because she did not speak any English. When we decided to just take the bottle of red wine with the wrong year, we then realized the bottle was ice cold. Next came our meals which we both ordered the tuna. The tuna was definitely not fresh and tasted super fishy and the side was basically a mound of instant white rice. While the dining experience on the beach was pretty unique, there was a boat parked about 20 feet away blasting music so definitely lost its romantic touch. This restaurant is super expensive with prices around 35 dollars a dish and I'm sure you can find a better FRESH fish restaurant for that price. Bottom line; service was awful, food was awful, and ambience would have been good except for the party boats blaring music. In my opinion, the Marriott would be better off if the ocean opened up its mouth and swallowed simply fish whole. They say simply fish is aruba's best kept secret, and its been kept a secret for a reason. Worst restaurant I have ever been to on vacation.
