“Why all the hype?”
Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

Food was terrible. Lobster tail was very chewy. Steak was dry and overdone.

A bird and an iguana pooped on us the entire time we dined.

Prices were too expensive for the food and poor service we received.

Never again.

“Memorable meal”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Holy cow - the food at this place was amazing!! I agree that it gets a little hot in the courtyard and we did see/hear some guests having issues with the bugs, but we so thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks, it overcame any other issues.
The potato soup and ravioli appetizer were fabulous. The seafood dishes were awesome, especially the surf and turf. The creme brulee martini is the best drink ever!! Way more food than we're used to eating on an island vacation but totally worth it, especially if you can find it. :-)

If you visit Aruba DO NOT miss out on this dining experience. Yes, it is crowded and yes you need a reservation and yes you will still have to wait BUT you will not regret it. The restaurant is basically outside so yes, it can be hot and humid but forget it and focus on the casual atmosphere, the outstanding service and the amazing food. Bang Bang Shrimp is great as an appetizer. The menu is very descriptive but your server will spend as much time as you need to explain the entrees and to make recommendations. The Gianni Versace was, hands down, one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten - filet layered with lobster, spinach and mushrooms. The "famous" potato gratin is literally to die for. The wine and beer menu is extensive and the desserts are amazing. Advice: go hungry so you can enjoy it all !!!!

“Very delicious food”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

We highly recommend having dinner at this spot. I had the Cordon Bleu, which was tender and scrumptious. My husband had the excellent Shrimp Casserole "Du Chef." Fine service and food was delivered in a good time. They have a great kitchen, obviously--and lovely presentation.
The location isn't far from the high-rise area, but down two very dark roads. I thought perhaps we were lost, but there it was!
What surprised us was the setting, which is very nice, with little lights, except we were in the area where the floor is pebbles! Others, perhaps those who didn't wait til the last minute to reserve, were on a floor made out of tires on wood -- strange. Also there is no air conditioning. We'd still go back for the food.

“Mosquitoe Heaven, Terrible overpriced food!”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

If you would like to be ravaged by mosquitoes - we felt like were donating blood, we were bitten so much, then enjoy. We were offered bug spray, which was being used by all and sprayed around the food. Yum! There is absolutley no air circulation. The chairs are beyond uncomfortable, like sitting in a ladle.Table and chairs sit upon white stones, when walked on by servers kick up dust everywhere. They place is "cool" looking, but hubby thought it was a dump. Friendly service. Terrible food. Crab cakes were huge - I knew that was a bad sign...95% bread top with thousand island dressing, the first time I could not continue to eat a "crabcake". Cordon Bleu was a super thin layer of pork when cut open a gallon of liquified "cheese" poured everywhere; just gross - inedible. Should have followed our first instincts....to walk out when we walked in.
