“A must for breakfast”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

This little place has about a dozen tables on a patio in the shopping mall adjoining the Renaissance hotel. I ate breakfast there almost every day for a week. Their breakfast specials, endless coffee, friendly and attentive staff, and open air make it a winner.

The special on day one was scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage with toast and a side of pofferties. If you have never had pofferties you are deprived of one of life's delights. They are little football sized pancakes, made with a crepe batter and cooked in a cst iron mold muck like a waffle. Each one is about a half ounce and they can be served with a variety of toppings including powdered sugar, jam, fruit, syrup or any combination.

Coffee is European so add cream and sugar and enjoy. The standard compliment of breakfast juices are available to get your morning started. They have free newspapers if you feel compelled to keep up with US politics while on vacation.

“Dutch pancakte heaven”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

Great place to have breakfast. When we lived there we went on a regular basis. The food is good, and you can get reasonably priced dishes. However, as with many Dutch-owned establishments in Aruba you may find the service a bit slow and unfriendly considering their entire economy and livelihood depends largely on American tourists. It's a Euro-thing, but be prepared to also have to ask for your check, and then wait for it. Consider getting one of the crepes, as they are a meal unto themselves: strawberries and cream was a favorite of my son; I like the provencal; the berry one is also nice.

“Great mini pancakes!!!!!”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

The pancakes are silver dollar size, covered with powdered sugar and many other options. I also chose cinnamon and vanilla ice cream. They are so moist in the center, they are not like our pancakes!!!! Great coffee!!!!
