“BEST PANCAKE HOUSE”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

This place is the best pancake house in ARUBA and its location is conducive to a great breakfast leisurely done while watching Downtown Oranjestad wake up and get going. the Food, Ambiance, Prices and Service are excellent. They also have a dinner menu but we are unable to comment on that.

“Just okay”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Read a lot of great reviews before our trip and the promise of over 75 different pancakes made me want to go here right away. We were a bit disappointed that the 75 different pancakes include slight variations from each other and the taste of our 5 selections did not leave a lasting impression. They were out of fresh strawberries which was very disappointing. Would have liked a little bit more personality from our waitress who could have given us a lot more background on the different selections. Just so-so.

“Linda's was much better”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

NO STRAWBERRIES??? The first time we went to this place was after dinner. We just wanted a strawberry crepe for dessert. Nope, they were out of strawberries. We went back 2 days later because 1. we were in the area, 2. I also wanted to try the banana caramelized walnut crepe. Another FAIL. Again, they didn't have any strawberries. The waitress said, "they were really hard to get". Really? Then why didn't you put "seasonal" or something on the menu so we didn't get our hopes up and be disappointed 2 for 2?

Anyway, I love crepes with banana slices. I love caramelized walnuts. It was also served with honey, but on the side. Good thing it was on the side. I can't see how anyone would possibly want to add honey on top of the caramel soup they put on the crepe! I thought the walnuts would be hard(er), but they were quite soft... Not really my thing. On one hand, they did not skimp on the amount of anything. On the other hand, holy crap! How do you eat that? As I said, caramel soup! As much as I didn't want to food, half of it just had to be dumped. At least I had the good sense to order a cappuccino to cut the sweetness, but still, man....

My husband had the poffertjes (silver dollar pancakes) instead. Much better tasting, and cute ;) Although, the big ball of butter it came with (bigger than the side vanilla ice cream we got with our crepe the other day) was a little scary. Then, before halfway thru, the butter melted and most of the poffertjes left at that point got saturated in butter. Yikes! I

“Best pancakes on earth!”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

We stumbled upon the pancake house, because we arrived on the island late, and we were starving! The service is slow, but the pancakes and the crepes are worth the wait. We ate there 2 more times over the course of our stay - so we covered breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you have never tried Gouda cheese, you are in for a treat.

“Best crepes on the island!!!!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012 via mobile

This is by far the best place to get a good crepe on the island! They're not just good, they're amazing! The service is exceptional. The servers are some of the friendliest you'll meet and they are on top of your order from start to finish. We've tried Linda's Pancake House and it was not a great experience at all. The food was not that good and the service wasn't anywhere near what you'll get at the Dutch pancake house. You will not be disappointed here!!! Already can't wait to go back!
