“Aloe Revealed On Aruba”
Reviewed January 22, 2009

My wife and I visited the Aruba Aloe Balm farm and factory while on an Emerald Princess cruise stop at Aruba. It was interesting to see how the small, family owned business worked. Our guided tour, no pictures of the processing areas allowed, looked down into the vats where the products were prepared, packaged and shipped. We conclulded our visit with a purchase of a bottle of face lotion which was put to use immediately to help with a bit of sunburn!

“Nice side trip”
Reviewed May 21, 2008

We toured the factory on May 14. It is a small facility but leaves you with the impression that their products are practically handcrafted and manufactured under tight controls. Aloe grown right at the site.

We were able to get a free tour using a "VIP" card from the Marriott Ocean Club. Learned a few Interesting facts about the quality and inherent properties of the Aloe plant itself.

Given the size of the island, nothing is really out of the way and this makes for a nice diversion. We have been using the products we bought there and this is not a commercial but we definitely like them.

“Interesting but not fascinating”
Reviewed June 26, 2006

We stopped at the Aruba Aloe Factory as part of a shore excursion. The very small factory has little to see beyond spotlessly clean rooms used to make various balms and personal care products. A short talk about the history of aloe use, including its use as a laxative preceded the short tour which ended in the factory gift shop where you could buy a wide variety of products. I would not go out of my way for a visit to the factory, but it was an interesting addition to a tour of the island.
