“Not a destination, but a historical stop on a tour”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

We saw this site as part of our Natural Pool tour which also included the collapsed Natural Bridge and the Alto Vista Chapel. We were given a brief explanation of the background of the gold mine industry in Aruba (which produced about 3 million pounds of gold). It closed during the World War One due to lack of parts, most of which came from Germany. It is nice to get a photo, but there is a not a whole lot to this ruin.

“Average Sight, but Nothing Special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

I went to this attraction because it was on a map/list of "Things to Do and See in Aruba."

There is not much to do or see here. The only advantage to this location is that it is near the ocean, as well as the Natural Bridge.

Do not spend more than 15-20 minutes at this site, as there are better, more interesting things to see around the island.

Also, you need a Jeep or 4x4 vehicle to see it, unless you pay for an overpriced tour.

“Just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Not a lot to see, but was able to check it off my touristy things to do list. We were able to take pretty pictures through the windows out towards the ocean.
