We saw this site as part of our Natural Pool tour which also included the collapsed Natural Bridge and the Alto Vista Chapel. We were given a brief explanation of the background of the gold mine industry in Aruba (which produced about 3 million pounds of gold). It closed during the World War One due to lack of parts, most of which came from Germany. It is nice to get a photo, but there is a not a whole lot to this ruin.
