We spent our Christmas holiday in the fantastic Caribbean Island of Aruba and among the many little gems we discovered, Sciuè Sciuè was the only real italian place we found where we could genuinely savor pasta like we do at home in Italy. And since we were quite an exception on the island (there are not that many Italians going to Aruba on vacation from what we found out) we decided to give our fellow travelers a thumbs up to this unpretentious place, from a quite discriminating, tasting point of view (we are italian after all and we know what a great plate of pasta should be like).
Located on the third floor in a food court just behind the fancy hotel area (the high rise), we bumped into it by chance while shopping around for our teenage daughter. The italian owners, who also cook each dish themselves sat at the table and entertained us a bit once they found out we were italian too. How nice, we received a 5 star treatment well beyond that of a food court. And they did that with many customers, not just with us because we were Italians. Thumbs up! Really nice people, really nice food, very cheap and informal, ideal for a quick break. The place is open from 5.00pm to 10.00pm and it is right by the Cinema, so it's good to go also after the movies, just to do something different.
If you fancy something different than the usual fast food eateries, than make sure you stop by Sciuè Sciuè.
