Description: Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and team, with some of the old school favorites as well as locally influenced dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!

Thank you trip advisor reviewers. Based on the reviews we decided to try this restaurant and we're sure glad we did. The atmosphere is great being right on the beach, yet feeling so upscale and classy. The food was excellent although my dish didn't knock me out (beef strogonoff stew) - everyone else's was delish!
The desserts looked amazing - and am disappointed I held back. I will be back to this winner of a restaurant!

We ate here on our second night in Aruba. We made a reservation but arrived about an hour early. They were able to seat us right away--right in time to watch the sunset. Everything was delicious-from the drinks to the rolls to the appetizers, to the entrees and dessert. A couple of planes landed while we were eating which was Interesting. This restaurant will be tough to top. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended to us for a special meal on holiday. From the warm welcome the moment you walk in, sitting on sugar white sand watching the sun set, whilst being served a fabulously varied menu. We could stay as long as we wanted and the staff were quietly attentive without being intrusive. The escargot were amazing, as was the beef. I would highly recommend this for a special occasion, or holiday indulgence.

Returning every couple of years, tried Barefoot for the first time. Sorry we didn't know about them sooner. Probably one of the best meals we've had in Aruba. While June was probably the slowest season we've experienced, this restuarant was buzzing even at 8pm. We didn't expect to sit on the beach (and didn't come "barefoot") but ended up right at water's edge. We started with the Goat Cheese medallions and the Beef Carpaccio, then the Romance of the Sea and the Duet of Lamb. Superb. Chose the wine pairings with each course
Service was professional. Only complaint is that the location is extremely close to the airport. Only one plane landed and two took off while we were there, but earlier times could be different.

This is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and delicious dinner while watching the sunset. It was just the two of us eating here but it seems to be popular with many people. There were couples, families with children and larger groups dining here. The children seem to enjoy walking and exploring the beach or watching the airplanes land. The food was very good to excellent in taste. The service was excellent, especially for the island where service can be slow (to us from the Northeast anyways!). We really enjoyed sharing the Grand Dessert where we sampled different flavors.
