Description: Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and team, with some of the old school favorites as well as locally influenced dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!

We made a 630 dinner reservation at Barefoot so we could watch the sunset. Our table was right on the beach. We opted for the three course prix-fixe dinner. House made chicken spring rolls as an app, main course was shrimp and grilled mahi in a white truffle creme sauce, and dessert was a duet of chocolate and vanilla mousse. Spring rolls were awesome, shrimp and fish quite good (had never eaten fish and truffles before), and dessert was tasty, a little uninspired, and rather heavy. Had a nice bottle of inexpensive Argentine or Chilean Chardonnay (under $30). There were several other modestly priced wines on the list that looked promising as well. Our server was attentive yet unobtrusive. Wine glasses were discreetly filled and dishes subtly cleared. My only criticism is that there was too much food, but it was our fault for ordering the prix-fixe instead of just the entree. Sunset was lovely and it was fun to watch the occasional jet appear out of the night sky and glide past us to land at Reina Beatrix.

the location and setting was amazing. we chose the 8pm time and much better since cooler and more romantic. Forget the crap about the sunset. Go for romance. Dark and lit up!! BUt i have to say the fish was overcooked and rubbery.

Seats are sitting on the sandy beach and it's lovely. Food was excellent all the way around here, everyone was happy after a big group dinner. Nice wine list with some rare choices and options for all prices. Service was nice. Enjoy a meal while sitting in the sand and watching the occasional plane land... not bad.

4 of us ate here the other night for dinner. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We had 4 different appetizers and entrees and all were very good. Outdoor seating was available, but we passed as we had enough of the sun for the day. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from your table. Only downfall is the airport is a few hundred yards away. We had 2 jets land while sitting there, neat to see but incredibly loud. Also had a couple taking off which is louder! Normally I would have given it a 5*, however, we had eaten the 2 previous nights at Yemanja Wood Fired Grill and Passions on the Beach, and gave both of them 5*. The food here was very good, but a little lower than what we enjoyed at the other 2 restaurants. Would I go back? Hell yes! I just felt the other 2 were just a little bit better and the price was the same at the others.
