Description: Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and Justin, with some of the old school favorites (sirloin with bearnaise, or tuna steak with teriyaki) as well as some original dishes not found anywhere, with unique combinations (smoked salmon & shrimp, grouper & mango or leg & rack of lamb) and wonderful vegetarian dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!

“Nice way to end the vacation....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

Located by the airport in a small cove. you can sit outdoors or inside in an open air setting. Since it was our anniversary they met us with two glasses of champaign..nice touch. Wife had the Grouper Romana and I had the romance--fish combo. Both cooked to perfection. SAVE yourself for the grand dessert and dutch coffee at meal's end....worth the calories. Great place and awesome way to end our vacation...

“Dinner on the Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

Our first night in Aruba was wonderful eating on the beach at Barefoot restaurant. Make sure to have reservations before sundown as the view is spectacular and definitely picture-worthy! Walking out to the table on the beach, slipping our flip-flops off and eating "barefoot" was joyous especially after traveling from up north! The food also was delicious! My wife had tomato soup to begin which she thought was a little too sweet but loved her tenderloin entree. My daughter had the grilled Mahi-Mahi and I had grouper covered in a crab-sauce. Delicious!! My son had grouper over a pasta and he loved his meal. One of us (can't remember who) also had grilled shrimp which was reportedly delicious, as well. All in all, great setting and excellent food!

“A perfect wedding dinner!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

What an experience! I called ahead and told the hostess that we were coming there after our wedding, just the two of us. I said, "can you please do something special for us on such short notice?" When we arrived, we were treated like royalty! We got there earlier than our reservation time, got seated right away in our choice of tables (on the beach), everyone congratulated us, and the special dessert was truly the icing on the cake. We ordered several things on the menu and to my surprise the bill was quite reasonable for the service, food quality, atmosphere, and prompt food delivery. The drinks are also top shelf quality specialty drinks at a great price. We are usually used to eating at some of the nicer restaurants in New Orleans... and this by far exceeds those more famous restaurants, in food/drink quality, atmosphere, and service. Barefoot, thanks again. We'll be back next time we're in Aruba.

“Great Food and View - must go to place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

This was our first time at the Barefoot Restaurant and it won't be our last. We had reservations and while we hoped to have a seating on the beach we did not get one. We did get a seat right at the edge of the building so we had a great view of the sunset and the beach right below. So with the wind that was probably a better seat than on the beach. The food was outstanding as well as the service. I would recommend this to everyone to go. I had thought the prices would be high but they weren't any higher than any of the other nice restaurants on the island.
A great meal and spot of a wonderful dinner no matter what the occasion is.
