Description: Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and team, with some of the old school favorites as well as locally influenced dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!

This was the one restaurant that we chose to repeat from last year and what a good decision that was! The setting, the food, the staff and that sunset.......no one could top it. We've already decided we'll go next year for Valentine's Day.

This was a terrific choice for a couples night out away from the kids. We sat right on the beach next to a quiet harbor that faces the setting sun. They have inside seating as well, in an open sided tent. There's a snazzy looking beach club next door that provided background music, jazzy saxophone mostly. The food was great, three choices of grilled fish and a Caribbean fruity grouper dish. The menu had two vegetarian designated items, a plus, a quiche with veggies and salad and a vegetable lasagna type option. The banana misu, a tiramisu made instead with banana creme and banana liquer, is worth trying as a dessert, too. Very romantic and quiet for so near the airport. You will see and hear planes once in awhile. I'd suggest sunset time, around 6. After 8 it got noisier and filled up with larger families and parties. You could bring kids. By then we were off. Nice job, thanks.

This was by far the best restaurant we ate at during my current and previous stays. To start the ambiance is great, very romantic. You can chose to dine on the beach and if you get there early enough you are pretty much garaunteed an amazing sunset. Mixed drinks were GREAT, and servers were very attentive. They were also nice enough to help us with picture taking. It is near airport and while there one plane landed and we thought was very cool as comes close. Food was outstanding and be sure to save room for desert. We wanted to return but already had all our reservations set for rest of trip. Compromise is that we stopped in for a drink and appetizers prior to going to another restaurant. Servers recognized and welcomed us. We sat at bar which was nice, and got to see another sunset. Other restaurants we visited in order of preference were Papillon, Amuse Bistro, Gasparito, Passions, Blossom, and our least favorite Madame Janette. Next time we plan a few dinners at Barefoot.

Love, love this place. Our second time there and equally as good the second time as the first. Great knowledgable staff, kind and considerate.
Food is unbelievable and they know their gluten free options very well. Whether you choose to sit at a table on the beach or inside their alfresco restaurant, the atmosphere is grand.
Have been to Aruba 2 consecutive years and this is our favorite restaurant. Keep up the great work!

We were on Saturday with couple of my friend. We made the reservation week in advance. The location of restaurant on the beach near the airport, you can see how planes landing every 15 min.
We came at the time 8:30 p.m. There are a lot of people in the entrance who were waiting to be sitting. I couldn't find the hostess for 15 minutes and nobody didn't ask us about the reservation. I asked all staff about checking my reservation. All of them confirmed it but didn't get any table. all of people were waiting the table near the door too. After 20 min I became nervous. They give us the table at 9:15 p.m. After 45 minutes of waiting. That was the first time I was waiting so long!!!

We were sitting outdoor on the sand. Then the service was great and food was perfect. But the beginning of the evening was awful.
