“Close to Ocean Renaissance/ very quiet area”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

The grounds are quiet and subdued.
Governor's residence is nearby.
Benches are around in different areas. It is a shady area and gives one a lovely escape from the Hot Aruba sunshine.
Very close to Ocean Suites, Renaissance hotel.

“AN OASIS”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is a very nice park in Oranjestad which can serve multiple purposes including picnic settings and ocean viewing. The landscaping and statue are exquisite and informative and that all makes this a site worth seeing.

“Want to see some iguanas?”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

This is a small, well-maintained park on the waterfront in Orangestad. If you want to see iguanas, this is the place for you! As we approached a grassy area right next to the water, the lawn was crawling with what must have been at least 50 iguanas. As I snapped pictures and shot video with my camera, I couldn't help but think of the absurdity of someone visiting the US east coast and running around taking pictures of our plentiful squirrels. Nonetheless, it was an interesting site.

“Worth a visit if you're in Oranjestad already ... .”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Small downtown waterfront park, a place to contemplate the Oranjestad non-experience. You want more than 100 characters: no Orajestad-itself entry - okay. Sleepy downtown on average, but definitely upgrading. Lots of high-priced quality electronics - slighly below NYC prices: wait for a NYC sale, and spend your time at the glorious hotels/seashore.

“If you're near there....”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

You certainly can stop by to visit if you're near the area. I don't know if I would make a special trip to see it (unless you are just into history).Towards the water there are LOTS of iguanas. Some days around noon you will find them munching on lettuce. We counted over 60 iguanas at one time!
