The Marina Tower Renaissance Hotel is an adult only hotel...located in the center of Oranjestad and just a few steps awa from luxury shops and great dining...I have stayed here before and must say that the rooms have been pleasantly renovated...they are not as big as I would prefer them to be, but they are not uncomfortable either...the hotel offers a boat service every 15 minutes to a private island...beaches on the island are simply awesome...

Was there last week,Oceanside Suites. Private island is terrific,it is divided for families on one side and adults only on the other, with the flamingos. Pools are great also. It's location lets you walk to numerous restaurants, some right outside the door, literally. Try Driftwood,Bare Feet, for dinner, didn't care for El Gaucho, New York steak house prices definitely not worth it. Also try the Italian and Dutch restaurants out front. The hotel's staff couldn't do enough for us,very professional, but pleasant and helpful with anything. It was our 2nd trip there, definitely going back for a third...

Room Tip: Pool/oceanside rooms are very good

Stayed here for a week in June and will definitely be returning. The staff are very friendly, food is delicious especially breakfast and the whole place had a lovely relaxing feel to it. The private beach island is beautiful. The only criticism we had was the adult only pool by the casino plays chill out music extremely loud from early morning and all day late into the evening which is very irritating when trying to relax and read and we had to talk loudly to hear each other over it!! We welcomed it late afternoon as added to the atmosphere but was at an unnecessary volume for daytime.

My wife and I just returned from our 10 year anniversary from Aruba. We had the fortune of staying at the Rennaisance. The brunch was amazing, the room was nice, they sent up a bottle of champagne for our first night and a bottle of merlot for our last. the private beach was awesome! I cannot stress enough the value of walking out of hotel and finding a local grocery so you can affordably drink and get sunscreen, but other than those convenience charges, the hotel was immaculate, fun, and entertaining. My wife and I really appreciated the adult exclusive portion of the hotel and the private island. Cannot recommend enough.

Room Tip: Get the highfloor with the ocean view if you can.

My husband and I visited Aruba for our 10th anniversary in mid-June. We stayed at the Renaissance in the Marina Tower. It was fabulous! The rooms were really nice and clean. The only bad design flaw we found (at least in our room) is that with no shower door, there can be a huge puddle on your bathroom floor by the time you are done. We just laid towels down each time and learned where exactly to stand to prevent so much from spraying out. The bed was super comfy. Each morning we slept in and then went to eat the breakfast buffet. I suggest getting the inclusive breakfast option because it is worth it for the amount of food, choices, and cost. We had chosen the all-inclusive option (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) when checking in, but once we ate dinner that evening, we knew it wasn't worth it to us. Maybe if you have kids and plan on eating there all the time. We like to venture out and explore, so we changed our mind and got out of it the next morning. Best choice we made. Anyway, our days were spent on the private island which was fabulous! There are people that review the island and complain about hearing the planes fly in and out above the private island. If that's all I have to worry about when in paradise, then so be it. It wasn't bad at all. We enjoyed watching them arrive/depart. With the constant breeze and fabulous scenery, I didn't even notice the planes 90% of the time. We enjoyed both sides of the island. I would have to say the family (Iguana) side was our favorite. It wasn't quite as gusty, was larger, and closer to bar/bathroom. But the adult (Flamingo) side was nice too. We hung out on that side one day in the hammocks the entire time. Lounge chairs were plentiful because of it not being their peak season so it wasn't crowded at all. Everyone we met was very kind and helpful. We felt safe wherever we went, and even rented a car for the day which I highly recommend. We are definitely planning on returning in the near future and will stay here again!

We absolutely loved the Renaissance Aruba. Going out to the private beach was fantastic. We went on quads and met so many nice locals (the concierge was fabulous, make friends with them). The sites are so nice, and it peaked our interest in real estate in Aruba. We had the all inclusive package- and I truly believe it was well worth it. We even ventured off of the resort and had no problems enjoying meals not on site (but I thought you had an assortment on site to keep you entertained and satisfied). Again, about the locals- our bartenders were fantastic and truly were so nice to speak with. I do believe we will be returning to this resort. You cannot beat the relaxing atmosphere, beautiful rooms, and nice people at this resort.

We stayed here for our final two nights after spending a week at the Renaissance Ocean Suites across the marina. This was very nice, but does not have the room or the adjacent beach area, just a nice pool 3 steps up from the lobby bar overlooking the main street into Oranjestad with the marina beyond. The design does minimize the road noise at the pool, but the star of this is the private island and their flamingos! The island gets you away from the hordes at Palm Beach with a quite secluded getaway, or you can wander the streets. Downtown is quiet at night, but we were there during the Fifa World Cup and the plaza behind the hotel mall was hopping during the "football" matches, with big screen TV's, band and a big crowd if that is what you like. Watching Holland play a World Cup game in Dutch Aruba was fun!
Go, stay, and play with the flamingos on the island but please don't feed them people food (crackers, chips and bread are unhealthy for humans, and much more harmful to wildlife)! I applaud the resort for providing flamingo food in a dispenser that allows you to buy a handful for $0.25 (US). We loved the flamingos and the room was very comfortable. We had an inside room overlooking the courtyard where the launch enters the hotel to take you to the island (right next to the Starbucks). Very nice design.

Room Tip: If you want an ocean view, expect to ask for it and pay for it. Most rooms look out on the city or a...
