On our first trip to Aruba, my husband and I wanted to stay away from the low and high-rise hotel areas. We found Paradise Found and are so glad we did! Our own “private” beach, right across the street, proved to be our favorite on the entire island! There is a great dock about a 15 minute swim from the “beach” that offers amazing views and an opportunity to rest.

Though it is not close to the downtown life, there are great restaurants within walking distance or a very short drive. We ate at Marina Pirata and Flying Fish Bone, which are both very close.

The innkeepers are so wonderful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They made our stay even better than we imagined. They even catered to our dietary concerns for breakfast, which was delicious everyday and served on the patio with a gorgeous view. They were great in offering places to go and things to see. We especially loved the Ayo Rock Formations and the gold mine ruins. We highly recommend renting a car and going to the northern side of the island to check out the entirely different coastal area.

The room was small, but adequate and very clean. After all, you are in Aruba! Why would you hang out in your room!

After touring around the low and high-rise hotel areas, there is no where on the island we would rather stay than Paradise Found.

There is another great beach area a short walk up the street. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay if you are looking for an off the beaten path way of visiting Aruba. The price of the room made is easy for us to have a better than vacation. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed at Paradise Found for five days in February-March 2009. This bed and breakfast is in a wonderful quiet neighborhood where there are very few tourists, and the place is just across a small dirt road from the beach where you can go swimming every day. Jim and Shawna prepared a tasty breakfast for us each morning, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our flight back to Newark was cancelled due to a snowstorm, and they had no problem with our staying for an extra night. They are also quite knowledgeable about local customs and restaurants. Jim and Shawna walked with us and their three friendly dogs to the ruins of a fascinating abandoned gold mine called Bushiribana.

I recently returned from my first trip to Aruba and was so fortunate in finding a delightful bed and breakfast at Paradise Found located on the ocean in the quiet residential area of Pos Chiquito. My gracious hosts, Jim and Shawna Ellertson went out of their way to make me feel welcome and, for a short time, their home was my home.

The close proximity to the ocean was a definite plus to enjoy swimming, snorkelling and beautiful spectacular views. The sunset will remain in my mind forever. Also this is a great place to sit outside and watch the lights of the cruise ships at night.

The price is very reasonable and the home is very neat and tidy. The gardens are beautiful and are a great place to sit and relax after a hectic day. You can be as busy or relaxed as you want .
I look forward to my next trip to Aruba and my stay at Paradise Found.

We spent two nights at Paradise Found at the start of our vacation prior to the beginning of our timeshare weeks. We were not sure of what to expect, but this bed & breakfast exceeded our every expectation. What a wonderful place and very gracious hosts! We hated to leave when our time was up -- the couple who own this place made us feel so comfortable that we began to feel as though we lived at their home.

Paradise Found is very reasonably priced, immaculately clean, and the views are just spectacular.

The owners will also store bins for timeshare owners. We even bought beach chairs to store with them so we can travel around to different beaches on the island. wherever we are staying (usualy at our timeshare). They do have beach chairs and towels to lend when you are staying with them.

We are thrilled to have found this place. It's totally different from staying in a hotel or timeshare -- in a good way. We've booked another trip to Aruba this fall and wll be staying at Paradise Found for the entire time.
