Located just behind the airport, make sure to follow the signs to General Aviation. The signs to Marandi are just underneath but hard to see at night. On the way out, make sure to follow a taxi to the main road so you don't get lost.

Great setting by the water under a giant palapa. Everything about this place makes it a "must go" if you're in the mood for gourmet dining with a nice relaxing setting on the water. You won't be dissapointed.,

Marandi was AMAZING! My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary at Marandi based on a friend's suggestion on June 20. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. The sunset was outstanding. The whole experience was phenomenal. It was an incredibly romantic place and the perfect setting for our one year anniversary. The people that work there are so fantastic and really add to the whole experience.

Though we had a little difficulty finding the restaurant and our initial view as we arrived was not exactly thrilled, we found all to be way beyond our expectations!
Service: We were warmly greeted and told to pick a table of our choice. We sat right on the water. We were escorted to our table, seated and the waiter asked if we would like a picture of the 4 of us without having to ask ourselves. We saw this same courteous gesture toward all who attended on that evening. I mentioned that it was my birthday and the waiter brought unexpected champagne drink for our entire party. At desert, a sparkling candle was added to enhance the eveing. Awesome!
Food: Wonderful presentation!! Awesome flavor!! We asked to split the meal for both couples and they accomodated beautifully, providing extra condiments on the 2nd plate for a very small price. Wonderfully refreshing, tasty, filling!
Scenery: WOW!! You could not ask for more!
Family friendly: We had no children with us, but the wait staff took children from some of the other tables to the edge of the pier to allow them to feed the fish and watched them so that no one was out of line or in danger.
Rest rooms: Well kept, clean, a pleasantly unique room with all necessities present.

Simply an awesome experience and truly a birthday to remember!

My Wife and I just arrived in Aruba two days ago and once we got settled in at the Radisson we started looking for places to eat. We had already decided on Flying Fishbone and El Gaucho but last night we wanted something quick and easy. As we browsed through the flyers we saw Marandi and that it was on the water. We had a rental car so it wasnt really that far perhaps 20min from the high rise hotel area.

We arrived after taking some backroads and were about 30mins before sunset. As we walked down the steps to the restaurant which is right on the water, I was already impressed. Its a beautiful open ari Tikki Hut with linen tables both underneath and outside. Fantastic views of the ocean, sailboats, even a view of Venezuela Mountain on a clear day.

Staff more than friendly, offering to take photos with our camera and engaging us in genuine conversation. We ordered a bottle of wine and just enjoyed the sunset and conversation while looking over the great menu. There was good variety of appetizers both hot and cold. Great hot dinner rolls also. We had some HUGE shrimp tempura..these werent ordinary shrimp! Arnold Schwartzenegger prawns like 8 inches long! I had the Filet Mignon which was excellend and my wife had more Shrimp which was delicious as well.

Once it got dark the whole restaurant lights up with white lights giving a cozy glow. We stayed for a second bottle of wine and had a great chocolate trio desert.

The prices were great. 2 bottles of wine, 1 appetizer, 2 main courses and desert ran 146.00. Staff couldnt have been nicer with directions and everythign else. A truely great restaurant.

Marandi is truly a hidden jewel in Aruba.... meaning that it's off the beaten path but well worth the effort to get there! The dinig room is a thatched covered deck over the sea and the atmosphere is very romantic. The sunset is amazing as well. But, the best part was the food!!! My husband had the special (grouper), salad, and desert sampler and he said it was the best meal he had on our trip. I had the pork 2 ways and it was the best pork I have ever had. I also had the brie salad, which was wonderful, and the chocolate brulee which was like chocolate covered heaven. We will definitely make this restaurant a regular on our future trips to Aruba.
