Wow...what happened to this place? Did the chef leave, the owner's change, or just have a bad day. We convinced a group of our friends to come here with us, based on our previous rave worthy experience. What a shocker! Okay it's hard to mess up goat cheese and water melon, so that was good. The carpaccio bland, second worst after Windows on Aruba, go to Barefoot or Bingo for an excellent one. The waiter mixed up the soups and people began to eat until the mistake was clear, then shuffling around on the table. Cocktails were jut okay. But then came the mains, three out of eleven dishes were not average but horrid. The duck was above average, the Cornish hen the same, the mushroom risotto probably the best. The steaks came out not medium but rare (thanks for scolding us that it looked perfect medium to you dear waitress). The catch of the day, not even appearing to be locally caught fish, was bland, not even salt and pepper base seasoning present and came on top of cauliflower slime and even blander barley. All but three dishes were returned and not re-fired. The wait staff seemed agitated more than worried about this, and a manager wasn't on duty on this Friday evening.
It's really a shame and it kind of irks me having to post this review, but I was deeply embarrassed to take our friends here and continuously refer people to this place, it's coming of our list and we're not giving it another chance. The location is amazing if you come for the sunset, maybe with a new chef things could get better. Some daily specials would be nice, the menu here is years old with hardly any changes and the selections are few. It was good while it lasted.
My recommendation is heading to Barefoot, you get attentive service, a similar sunset (with similar air traffic), but a much much better cuisine.
