We had booked a reservation online but didn't receive any confirmation. Most restaurants in Aruba either confirm by email or ask for a phone call upon arrival, with hotel and room confirmation relayed. Although the hostess couldn't find our reservation, a manager was called over and seated us within 5 minutes. There were lots of empty tables as it was 615pm and we arrived early for sunset. We had a wonderful table on the pier with a great view. The setting was beautiful, even watched a cruise ship sail by.
The waitress was very attentive but the food was just okay. We both had the shrimp dish served with couscous which was not really cooked and crunchy. I had inquired if I could have the mushroom/asparagus risotto but add some shrimp. The waitress explained that shrimp were $8 extra per shrimp which I thought was excessive at $50 for a meal with 3 shrimp so I opted for the one on the menu.
In summary the setting was beautiful but it was a 30 min drive from our Marriott hotel for very average, pricey food and they had no record of our reservation. The airport is so close, such that the planes fly right in front of you while dining. Some reviewers thought that was great, but I could have done without it.

My husband & I arrived on Wed. Jan16, 2013 @ 5:30 p.m. We had reservations & were seated at a lovely table. We were the 1st to arrive. The service is always slow in Aruba but that's the pace they have & we enjoy the relaxation. However, we waited over 45 min. for our food after ordering it which we did right away. The tenderloins were ordered medium & came to us purple in the middle. It had a nice brown sauce over them & because it was now going into sunset we couldn't see the meat through the sauce. It was delivered to us with "enjoy" we cut into the first bite & the waitress asked how it was. We said so far it was good as hadn't cut into the tenderloin. Anyways we sat & waited for someone, anyone to come by & let them know our meals were not cooked. Another 15 min. went by as now the restaurant was filling up. The waitress took our plates away & we just said we wanted desserts. The desserts came 40 min. later. Two different people came over & apologized for the delay while waiting. Then the manager came & said there'd be no charge for desserts as we had waited so long. In the meantime there was a man who lit up a cigar TWO different times in front of us. Smoke blowing our way. I got up & started to look for a waitress as wanted to move. She asked the man to extinguish his cigar. It was a total disaster & couldn't wait to leave at 7:45!!!! My husband had one beer & I don't drink so it wasn't as if we sat there with drinks!!! We made an early reservation because we wanted to get back into Oranjestad city by 7 as the shops close between 8-9.
We are never going back again. Will stick to Passions & Papamiento for romantic dinners!!!!

This is a jewel on the island that has many excellent restaurants. A little hard to find but well worth the trip. The setting is picture perfect. On the water and great place to watch a sunset. Look over the railing from your table and watch the fish. Great menu and the food is outstanding. The amount of wine you get if you order by the glass is on the stingy side. Order it by the bottle if you want to get your money's worth. Overall, put this on you 'to do' list and you won't be disappointed.
