Description: Newly located in the Renaissance Marketplace downtown, Cuba's Cookin' has moved with the times just as when Fidel began his march on Havana in 1959. This is what Havana would have looked & felt like.... and when the live music starts up nightly....this is exactly what you would have heard & seen back then. A moment in history brought out in Cuba's food, mojitos, art, culture and dance. A real authentic dinning experience you will take home forever from your trip to Aruba.

“Spanish food with music”
Reviewed August 6, 2014 via mobile

The restaurant is located in downtown Aruba at the marina. It Was About 15 Minutes By cab which came out to $11 the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the wait for entree. I recommend you have appetizers and 2 mojitos. Once we did get the food, it was delicious. Everything was fresh and warm. Since we went after 8 pm there was no waiting for seat. Excellent place except for wait for entree.

“Delightful evening breeze”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

My wife and I enjoyed the morning snorkeling at Baby Beach and wanted to take a relaxing evening. We enjoyed a 5pm movie downtown with the plan to go next door and enjoy a dinner at Cuba's Cooking which we were glad we did. We started with the best Mohito's we have ever had - absolutely the best and not overdone with sugar. I enjoyed the BBQ Cuban ribs - good portion, done right, sauce too much ketchup based but still tasty with great plantains, black bean and yellow rice. My wife had the chopped sirloin Piccadilly which she found a little over done. Service is Happy Island time - very friendly but on the slow side. We truly enjoyed the Ceviche of the day appetizer to start off. Smooth live music and a gentle breeze on the porch is the way to go.

“Great Food and Atmosphere”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

Cuba's Cookin' was a wonderful surprise for our family. Unable to decide where to eat, we chose this restaurant because we had enjoyed the Cuban fare we had last year in Florida. First off, be prepared to spend some time here. It's quite a relaxed atmosphere, and that applies to the staff as well. The plantains and salsa were nice, plentiful and one of the least expensive appetizers we've found in Aruba. For entrees, both kids ordered the chicken carbon, my wife ordered the roast pork and I had the chicken 'n olives. They were absolutely wonderful, as is the Cuban chicken soup. Nothing was over-spiced, which allowed the food to shine. The staff was friendly and always kept our glasses filled. As we neared the two-and-a-half hour mark, we did have to finally ask for the check to make the movie we were planning to see next door. Again, it's a very relaxed atmosphere, but a happy meal experience my family will remember for a long time.

“Good Food, service could improve”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

As with most place's in Aruba, not cheap. Food was very good and portions were plentiful. Service started off well but did not stay that way. Despite being mostly empty, after the food arrived our waiter never came back to our table until we had to request our bill from the bus boy

“Wonderful stuffed pork roast”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Started our meal with mojitos and variety of empanadas. The stuffed pork was a very large serving. Wonderful flavor, very tender. It was stuffed with seasoned ground meat and green olives, plantains and potatoes on the side. Had a trio playing music that really added special touch. It is right at the entrance of the mall but we did not find that a distraction. They have plexiglass half walls around the outside tables to help block the wind.
