Description: Newly located in the Renaissance Marketplace downtown, Cuba's Cookin' has moved with the times just as when Fidel began his march on Havana in 1959. This is what Havana would have looked & felt like.... and when the live music starts up nightly....this is exactly what you would have heard & seen back then. A moment in history brought out in Cuba's food, mojitos, art, culture and dance. A real authentic dinning experience you will take home forever from your trip to Aruba.

“Cuba's Cookin, Oranjestad.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014

We were on our way to Aruba and were planning lunch after we got our rental car. My wife remembered a Cuban restaurant in the Renaissance Plaza on the way to our Hotel. We stopped there and weren't disappointed. The Mojito's were excellent. The Plantains with guacamole were very good and the Cuban Sandwiches were excellent. Our waiter was real good and invited us back for dinner. There's just too little time and too many places to eat here. This place is recommended.

“Good food...nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

We ate here our first night in Aruba and we're NOT disappointed. In order to fully take in all that we could, we had the guacamole with plantain chips for an appetizer, split the entree of ropa vieja, and finished with flan for dessert. The food was very good and the waitstaff was friendly and welcoming. In order to make room for the dessert we danced to the live music. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner.

“Great Atmosphere good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2014

Always saw this place but never tried, finally i did and im so glad. Slowly we were getting to the relaxing mood, warm service provided by Luis, the Yuca snacks that you have while you wait for your food, the decoration, and above all, the live music, so relaxing and perfect match for the restaurant, they really play cuban music that embraces. I loved my premium margarita, and it was nice to see some spanish heritage dishes such Gazpacho (veeery good) Ropa Vieja, Palomilla etc. All in all, a bit price like every restaurant in Aruba but im happy with the experience

“great mojitos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014

Dined here three times. Had Ropa Vieja, Lechon Asado and daily fish specials. All excellent. Mojitos are within top 2 we have had anywhere. Servings are generous. Never had a bad meal or poor service. This is not a fast food place and quality takes a little time. We will be back to the restaurant any chance we get.
