Owner description: Leave the cares of the world behind as you venture over to a private island complimentary to Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino guests. Renaissance Island features Aruba’s only private beaches and is just an 8-minute water taxi ride away. Here lies a true oasis with family-friendly beaches or beaches just for adults. Pamper yourself at the private Spa Cove, play a game of beachtennis, sit down to the delicious lunch specials at Papagayo Bar & Grill or have a drink at our newly added Mangrove Beach Bar, or just lie back and let the sun caress you. A day on Renaissance Island is a day well spent.

“Not what we'd expected”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

First you need to be brought to this "island" which is located within a stones throw of the airport runway. If you are there at the right time, you'll hear planes taking off and landing constantly (after noon time). There are two coves in which one is designated as family and the other is adult. It seemed that many of the families didn't pay attention to those rules so it didn't really matter which cover you were at. Since this was our first time to Aruba, we were told the wind is constant and therefore there are no bugs on the island. Not the case here. The flies were awful. My wife and I were getting bit. So much for the private island. We decided to head over to the Hyatt and stay there instead. The flamingos were nice which is why I didn't give the rating --Terrible.

“Great Experience”

Marriott Ocean Suites has a huge pool, waterfront room, a private island...what else could you want? Oh yes, and an outdoor bar and outdoor restaurant.

“truly a slice of paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Living on Aruba, one is already privileged, I know. But for a day filled with wonder on a slice of paradise, I would recommend Renaissance Island. The relaxing massage beneath the soothing hands of masseuse Francini had a background music of waves; an out-of-this-world experience of being watched by orange-hued flamingos, shell-bearing crabs and giant iguanas while sunbathing on the private beach followed. Lunch was simple but great. In short: it was a holiday that will soon need repetition. I can't wait!

“Wonderful place !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

If you like to enjoy a day in a wonderful beach with fantastic blue water, seeing little and amazing fish, this is the place. Good food, excellent place for snorkelling. It is a calm beach, very beautiful although it is very near to the airport Reigna Beatrice.
