Just spent a week at the Inn at English Harbour. A beautiful property with an attentive staff. Stayed in the main building which accomodations were more luxurious than those located right on the beach. I recommend asking the water taxi attendant to bring guests to "The Pillars of Hercules" located at the entrance to the harbor for a snorkling trip.

Planing a weeding is hard, but planning a honeymoon is not much easier at all. We felt as though we had so many option, and so many places that we wanted to go, but non of the once we thought off felt right for the perfect time. As we have been looking through the reviews of best locations for honeymoons we found The Inn at English Harbour perfect location for us.

We have been dreaming about our honeymoon from the time we got together. Now that we are married, The Inn at English Harbour is where we made that reality come true. A real feast to the eyes, The Inn offers a tropical extravaganza or even better la dolce vita :) of the Carribean Colonial style.

When we arrived we saw Elegance and Exclusivity a haven in the South Cost that provides perfect couples reatreat. Me and my wife couldn' be more happier than this. Just WOW... We are currently staying in one of The Inn Delux Suites just 30m away from the white sand beach. The entire hotel’s décor is hand picked by its owners and it come from all over the world. Beautifullll..... Excellent level of friendly, smiling service makes The Inn the perfect place in the Caribbean.

The Inn a part from everything else offer butiful natural garden where all vegetable and fruits come from. We had a privilage to exeriance it, the head chef invited us to join him and the stuff in a meal prepared directly in the garden with all the ingreadiants hand picked. Apart from vegetable and fruits the Inn has it own apiculture.

What Inn has to offer no other hotel does. From sense of privacy... simply enjoying, the white sand beach, undisturbed seclusion, and the cooling trade winds of English Harbour.

The Best Honeymoon destination, love it...we will be back next year.

Room Tip: No matter what room you choose you will feel like home.

We first saw the Inn when sailing past on a boat trip to English Harbour, some 4 years ago. I thought then that it looked in a splendid location and having read the recent reviews on TA we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. It is in a lovely position, right on the beach which has calm seas because of the sheltered position. It is also easy to go to English Harbour either by water taxi, during the day, or by taxi in the evening.
We chose to stay in a beach cabana because we like to be close to the sea. The rooms are smaller than the suites but they are more than adequate and very well decorated and the view to wake up to in the morning is breathtaking. There are quite a few boats moored in the bay and they were daily changing. We spent many hours just watching the ever changing view. Having said that, the bathrooms in the cabanas are small and rather basic so we agreed that when we visit again we will opt for a suite on the first floor, so you get the best of both worlds.

Breakfast at the Inn is a very laid back experience. You sit a matter of metres from the sea and given the small number of rooms it never seemed rushed or hectic. As has been mentioned you can 'flip' the half board but we found that by mixing the set menu with the daily menu there was more that enough choice. We tried Cattherine's for lunch and had a really tasty lobster risotto. But our lunchtime find was the Calabash. This is a small beachside cafe, just up the beach to the Inn. The food and wine were excellent and very reasonably priced. The crab cakes were to die for!

People have mentioned that other people used the beach. We did not find this a problem. All beaches on Antigua are public and therefore you do get some locals and other people who are staying in the area walking along the shore but it was never a problem and if anyone did get a bit noisy the staff asked them to either be quiet or move on.

The biggest asset that the Inn has is the staff. Without exception all the staff were more than helpful and were clearly proud of the Inn and their island.

If you are looking for a party hotel, this is not for you. It is understated, provides excellent services and overall provides a relaxed atmosphere to just chill-out.

We flew to the much calmer island of Antigua from Barbados and found perfection at the Inn. We stopped in a Cabana room which although smaller than the suites is perfectly situated right on the pure white beach. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and although the Inn permits swapping between lunch and dinner (for those like us on half board) we elected to stay with dinner since the food is so good. The boat service which took us around to Nelson's dockyard on demend was excellent and available throughout most of the day. Lots of good sailing to be had plus scuba diving and there are numerous walking trails in the surrounding hills. I'm not sure we have ever given a 5 star review before but this hotel really does deserve it. We hope to return before too long!

We have just been to The Inn for the 4th time and have booked for next year - we never go to the same place twice!! The Inn is in our opinion the best situated hotel in Antigua. Next to Antigua Slipway boasting Catherines & Paparazzi, both restaurants well worth a visit. Also Hamiltons at the Historic Dockyard and Cambussa at Catamaran Marina. Falmouth Harbour also has much to offer. The hotel itself is situated on a glorious beach with plenty of sunbeds there and at the lovely pool. The large grounds are wonderfully tended by a team headed up by Kentish. He has also developed a vegetable garden using no chemicals to supply the hotel's 2 restaurants. The suites are very colonial & beautiful and the cabanas smaller but right on the beach. All the rooms are well furnished, well appointed with beautiful bedlinen and many pieces of antique furniture. The main restaurant terrace overlooks the bay and mostly the meal choice is very good. What also makes this hotel special are the wonderful staff most of whom have been there for several years. They are friendly, helpful, happy and generally make you feel like family and nothing is too much trouble. Hence we keep returning!!
One reviewer said that outsiders came to the hotel beach. The beaches in Antigua are public but we have never experienced any problems in this respect. Any visitors to the beach are asked to respect the hotel guests and not to use any hotel facilities. This hotel certainly works for us.
