“Personalized/relaxed tour”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

I did my research months before our trip and knew that Adventure Antigua was the right company to book with. I followed Eli, the owner, on Instagram @Antiguan and got an inside look on what they are doing day to day. This alone sold me on their tours.

My girlfriend and I decided to do the Classic Yacht Sailing Tour. It was very laid back and slow, just what we were looking for. The crew felt like friends that we were sailing with. They were down to earth unique people and were really fun to talk to. They grew up in Antigua and have a totally different outlook on things, so I found this to be very interesting.

We sailed down the island, snorkeled at Cades Reef and another reef, ate a really good buffet, visited a deserted beach and sailed out into the ocean. All while having a guided tour and great conversation. It really was an awesome experience. They offer two different juice drinks and water the whole time so you stay hydrated. On the sail back Rum Punch is served. This trip only takes a few people at a time so its as if you have your own private boat.

The crew explained what they were doing while sailing so we got a good amount of education on what sailing is all about. We were even able to help with the sails and steer the boat, it was very interactive.

If you're traveling to Antigua. Give the company a look and find which trip fits your style. They are not your typical tourist company. They are truly hospitable people that care about your experience. We even saw Captain JD out at a resturant that night and he made sure to stop by and visit out table.

Big thank you to Eli and your team. You guys are great and we hope to come back and visit again. Can't thank you enough!

“Great excursion, great value”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

This is a great tour. You get a nice boat ride. Then you explore Hell's Gate. This is a limestone formation way out in the middle of the ocean. you don't just see it. You swim out to it and climb all over it . You also climb through a cave. Then we went to a secluded island for some swimming, a great lunch and a nature hike to the top of the island. This is a great spot for photographers. Then you get to go snorkeling at a great coral garden. All in all, a great excursion. Well worth the money. Much better than a cruise ship excursion.

“What a lovely day”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We really enjoyed the Eco tour and the very capable and knowledgable crew. We took advantage of both reef stops to snorkel, which worked out great since the last reef stop was only 30 minutes. This trip is a great way to enjoy a day on the carribean sea. We will be back and hope to enjoy the starfish beach once again!

“Memories for a Lifetime”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

My wife and I went to Antigua for our honeymoon in May of 2012. We booked a day trip, I believe it was the Eco Tour, that involved snorkeling, a little bit of hiking, and a day on the boat. I think Adventure Antigua is probably the best tour I've ever taken. The crew really knew everything there was to know about Antigua and their passion and love for the island came through. They took us to some great snorkeling spots and really maximized the time we had out on the water. The day we went out was by far the most beautiful day we had during our trip, and it was the best day we had on our trip too. Great memories to last us a lifetime thanks to Adventure Antigua.

PS - They provided an awesome lunch!

“Fantastic day's sailing with Adventure Antigua”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We had a really enjoyable day out with Eli on his sailing boat and his hard working crew, Jason and Itano. Eli is really proud of his boat which he had built to a traditional Scottish design in Cariacou, and will tell you about all the rituals that go with the building and launching of these vessels. He'll also tell which celebrity each flash boat belongs to!

We motored out from Jolly Harbour and the front sail was put up on Coco Bay to take us out to the reef for our first snorkelling stop - the sea was quite rough here but unlike other snorkelling trips we've done in the past where you're left to it, we were accompanied by the crew and given flippers and offered buoyancy aids. We had a second snorkelling stop off Carlisle Bay which was much calmer. Then after an excellent lunch (with plenty to eat!) we had an afternoon of sailing under the main sail, with the chance to take the rudder if you wanted. The crew were out of practice so Eli put them though their paces and we sailed all afternoon, rather than having another swimming stop. A great day out with 7 hours at sea. Very relaxing and highly recommended. As AA's website says, this is not a trip involving silly games like limbo dancing contests, and was exactly what we wanted!
