Lovely, scenic, well kept golf course. Friendly staff and very reasonable fees. A good challenge. Nothing to dislike.

Easy to get to with the course in very good condition and very quiet. Everything is available to hire but the clubhouse amenities are lacking.

Decent enough layout but very expensive for what it was. Greens were good but we were in the dry season so the fairways were very dry and hard. Pro shop guy wasn't very interested, we would have bought a lot more stuff if he hadn't been such a downer.

Just played Cedar Valley GC. It is very well laid out and the holes are challenging and scenic. The club obviously takes pride in the greens and tees since they are well watered and green. The greens and nice, they have some slope to them and are a little grainey but that's what you would expect with Bermuda greens. The fairways are brown, hard, and have lots of roll (STMP of 14). Any little curve on your drive will be accentuated when the ball hits the ground. To the clubs defense, the fairways are exceptionally wide to accommodate for this problem. If you are playing by yourself, plan on paying for a full cart ($42) plus the $48 greens fee. All in all, it was worth schlepping the golf clubs to play one round here. The golf clubs in New England are still frozen so it felt good, 85 degrees, sunny, and light tropical breezes. It was not crowded so we breezed around. Although I was staying in Long Bay, and needed a rental car, if you are staying in St.John, it is a short cab ride to the golf course.

We got there for first tee, and had place to our selves, have done both the front and back 9 on different occasions. Great views, greens arent top notch, but interesting golf and a very enjoyable time, especially for price (<$25 for 9 hole)
The clubhouse is going to be overhauled and that is a good thing.
