Fantastic round island trip with a chatty pilot who provided a good informative narration . A must do trip and at a very reasonable price made our holiday .

We flew with Caribbean Helicopters 4 times, we enjoyed every minute of it. The pilots were very knowledgeable about the island, the volcano and Barbuda. The greatest part of it all was that we could fly on the morning to Barbuda and then you would be picked up in the evening again, everything is possible when you go to Caribbean Helicopters. The last time we went was today, and we went to Barbuda again, but we landed at the beach and we were there for 2 hours, the pilot was with us. Awesome staff, very professional, friendly and kind. Once we get back to Antigua the first place we'll visit is Caribbean Helicopters, on Fort Road. It's worth every dollar.

First of all this was an excellent choice for an excursion. From beginning to end the individuals working at Caribbean Helicopters were kind, friendly, professional and very safety conscious. The tour runs like clock work. It is exactly 50 mins. I got to sit next to the pilot and that was an experience. If you are at all queasy, this might not be the trip for you. There can be some dips, turbulence and the rotor blades on the helicopter can make you a little dizzy. The view is spectacular and the pilot gives you a lot of interesting history and information. You also get to see some of Antigua's coastline and that is beautiful as well. I have taken a similar tour in Iceland to see volcanic activity, however, the one thing I would suggest would be to add an extra 10 mins. so that you can see part of Montserrat that is not devastated. It would give you a better idea overall of the contrast.

Amazing view of a beautiful island ravaged by volcano. Awesome pilot who was very knowledgable about the island and the volcano. Helicopters are expensive and they charge accordingly, but well worth the price.

Like everything else on the island, this tour was expensive!! We booked the Monserrat tour in advance on-line, which is $285 each with $10 off for booking on-line. The local tour gudes told us we should have booked with them and saved $20 (not sure if that's true). The office staff was polite to us but very rude to the local employee who got us checked in and weighed. I felt bad for him.

We received a thorough safety briefing before boarding the helicopter. We got in a 6 passenger helicopter, with one lucky one getting the front seat! The pilot seemed to engage more with the guy up front than with us, but his info was thorough and he gave us interesting facts about Montserrat. It was fascinating to see the island covered in ash and pyroclastic flow. Eventually, I lost my sense of concentration because of the sulphur smell from the volcano and the left-right banking of the helicopter as we circled the island. Take dramamine or bonine an hour in advance of your flight if you are prone to motion sickness. There are sodas and water for sale at the fort road location.

I would recommend this tour, but just be prepared!
