I feel anybody writing a bad review about this hotel must be a very sad, boring person & dont appreciate the fine things in life, we stayed and got married there early march, weather was excellent, accomodation was a deluxe beachfront with a fantastic view over the sea, what a lovely way to wake up! sound of the waves to send you to sleep at night was very relaxing, how can anyone moan at that!?! food was really good, we were all inclusive so the drinks were flowing, ther was no waiting for drinks, how you treat the staff is how you get treated back, just be polite, the minute we sat down the drinks were in front of us, we got married there, the wedding was super, Cindy just took over& did a fantastic job, beautiful setting under the gazebo, steel band was a bonus, lovely sound, photos were excellent with a super album, video was wonderful too, better than we expected, we had lots of photos taken on the beach with the sunset, didn't want the day to end, we had a meal in vyviens after for 8 of us & they couldn't do enough for us, especially Gary & Wyngrove. We had a great champagne breakfast brought up to us on the following morning after the wedding with everything you could want, excellent!! Grounds are beautiful, well kept, sea was crystal clear, staff was friendly & helpful, just cant wait to go back & be spoilt, if anyone wants anymore answers about the hotel feel free to e-mail, ENJOY IT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED....

We booked several rooms as my husband and then fiance
had chosen Blue Waters to get married. The resort had still minor things to complete as they had just finished a major refurb. The minor things being.. hanging 2 pictures in each room. For this "inconvienience"each couple in my party had delivered to their room a bottle of chilled champagne.
Our Wedding Day was so romantic.Cindy our Wedding Co ordinator was on hand all day and made it everything we wished for.
A shirt had been lost and the Deputy General Manager Paula .. spent 4 hours on the day of the wedding locating a match in St Johns and achieved it well before the ceremony!! ..thats what I call service!!!The rest of the day and holiday was above our expectations. We spent the first week in a Beachfront room which was lovely. The second week we upgraded to the Rock Cottage which was out of this world!!(The staff even spread rose petals all over the rooms and bed.It was so beautiful and a memory which will always stay with us as it was a complete suprise.)
The staff were very helpful. They did indeed deliver a holiday well above our expectations and we would highly recommend the Hotel and intend to visit again.

There must be very few hotels in the world which can combine international facilities and cuisine with an unsurpassed friendliness and home-from-home feel. Add to this stylish and comfortable accommodation set in beautifully tended grounds rising in tiers from an azure-blue crescent of sandy bay and you have the perfect combination for a romantic, relaxing and visually stunning holiday.

Having just returned from our fifth visit we were delighted to find that all rooms had been given a makeover. Old furnishings had given way to creams and natural wood for a cool, sophisticated feel. Slim-screen tvs and the latest in coffee/tea-making machines added a luxury touch.

We were relieved to discover that although the management had recently changed the friendliness and familiar faces had not. We had the pleasure of meeting the delightful new manager, Mr Wilkie and his wife as well as Yves who, as food & beverages manager, was making subtle changes to Palm Restaurant and Vivyens, as well as running the adjacent property aptly named The Cove Restaurant (a recent indepedent addition by the current owner of Blue Waters)

A visit to Blue Waters would be incomplete without dining at The Cove. What a fantastically romantic Caribbean setting high above the waves, looking back across to the hotel. Flaming torches welcomed us into a cool interior with outer balcony where our table was set. The food did not disappoint. Our pastry was crisp and light and the velvety chocolate mousse with Baileys was memorable.

Is there anything we would change? Certainly Blue Waters' success has to be a reflection of its staff - without them it would be just another Caribbean resort albeit with excellent facilities.

Having said that, Vivyen's could do with an overhaul of its ageing menu and what about a lighter touch with the decor? If it were to follow The Cove's example Vivyens could be a level contender in the culinary stakes. It would be sad to see diners beating a path to The Cove when all three restaurants offer something unique.

Thank you again everyone. Hope to see you next year!

I have just returned from Blue Waters and had a fantastic time! We found the staff extremely welcoming, I second the earlier comment that they treat you exactly as you treat them, so as long as you are friendly you will be treated with a smile in return.
We also got married out there. After being slightly worried that the whole thing might be slightly 'cheesy', I have to say we were completely thrilled to discover that the whole thing was very intimate, personal and really romantic. It was a simple affair but the gazebo is a fantastic setting and the Registrar words were very poignant. I was also really pleasantly surprised by the flowers. The only thing I was slightly dissapointed with were the photographs, a lot of ours had things like a catamaran in or weren't very central. Apart from that it was all wonderful. Our room was gorgeous (block 100 is in a great position). The maid was excellent and very thorough so the rooms were kept immaculately. The food was delicious and varied in the Palms restaurant, but I did not think that the Viviens one was any better (although I think this is the idea). In a nutshell, this is a relatively small hotel which is kept very clean and tidy, in a beautiful secluded situation and I would recommend it to anyone. I have read the earlier poor reports but I fail to see how this could be a disappointment to anyone and I know someone complained that the sound of the ocean kept them awake but I found this a delight, and I am sure I am not alone on this one but I suppose you can't please everyone!(I know the hotel has been recently renovated so maybe this is the change?).

We have just returned from 12 idyllic nights at Blue Waters. The setting is beautiful and as this was our first trip to the Caribbean more than lived up to our expectations. We celebrated our Silver Wedding during our stay by renewing our vows and the ceremony was extremely well organised by Cindy. In fact all the staff made us feel very special. In common with the previous post we too could not understand earlier comments that the staff were rude - we found them all to be very pleasant and a smile was never far away. We did have problems getting break downs of our A/C sorted out as although reception logged the problem they didn't seem to take ownership for resolving it. However, once we had approached the Duty Manager it was resolved quickly. There are more than enough sunbeds so found it difficult to understand why people were saving them at 7:30am - needless to say we didn't join in that game. The food was excellent. Our only criticism of either restaurant was that Viviens could be any restaurant anywhere in the world. Other guests we spoke to who were well travelled in the Caribbean told us that Blue Waters is the best hotel they have ever stayed in, which we thought spoke volumes. We would certainly return to Blue Waters.
