Well, where can I start! what an amazing stay we had at the Blue Waters for 2 weeks. I had stayed at the resort 17 years ago when I was a child and was glad I made the right choice to return. As many reviews mention, the staff make the Blue Waters very special - they really do go that extra mile for you, if you need anything they will make sure it happens, I've never met such friendly people in all my life. Food was 5* - I've eaten at many top establishments in London and around the world and this was better than all of them! the BBQ is fantastic. Rooms were very nice, bed was comfortable and LARGE, we had a sea view room which had some amazing views. Beach was clean and the water sports facility's were excellent. Pools were amazing, you have a choice of 3 pools which varied in size and were never busy or overcrowded at all. All in all this resort should be 5* - you cannot fault anything. I want to thank all the Blue Waters staff, including Mark at the reception, Carolyn & Tramaine at the pool bars, Owen, Dave, Ryan and Robert at water sports, Vincent and Roger at the palms....there are too many people to list but a very big thank you to everyone! I will be returning soon.

Room Tip: 500 block has some amazing views!

We recently returned from two weeks at Blue Waters, relaxed and refreshed after a delightful stay. Without doubt the staff make this a special place - Margaret ,Gwen and their teams could not have done more. Our original room was rather tired with an even more weary bathroom. This was mentioned without complaint or a request to change, and three days later we were moved to a lovely room, right at the edge of the water. Carolyn and Tramaine run the perfect drinks service at the beach and pool and lovely touches such as chilled towels, fruit and sorbet improve the experience. Pearl & Luella in the Pelican Bar mix a mean cocktail and can demonstrate perfectly the art of wining....

Robert, Owen and Ryan are always ready to take you out on the water, a cat joy ride or snorkelling on the reef add to the Blue Waters experience.

A few small changes would make all the difference at Blue Waters - as mentioned by others, sunbeds are not always in plentiful supply and some are overdue for retirement. The main area for improvement however, is the food. Buffet dinners were rather lack lustre and repetitive, Bartleys is gloomy and it was difficult to work out what it wanted to be, while the Cove was pleasant enough, though service was a bit patchy. The new chef however, seems to be full of enthusiasm and ideas, so hopefully he will make his mark soon.

All that said, we had a pleasant stay, met some great people and look forward to returning before too long.

Room Tip: Block 100 is lovely

Believe all the 5 star reviews. This is by far the best resort I have ever been to.

The staff, as many have said, are fantastic! Tremaine on the beach bar - fantastic drinks. Curtis - the newish barman - made a mean Rum Sour and made sure I never ran dry.

We stayed in the Cove Suites and got upgrade to a penthouse - it was amazing. Great views and everything you could want was thought of.

If you can, I would suggest that you get the all-inclusive - the food was pretty non-stop and the menu was varied and everything we ate we loved. It didnt feel like an 'all inclusive' menu - everything was fresh and delicious.

I can't praise this resort enough - We cant wait to go back

Room Tip: We stayed in the cove suites and loved it.

We stayed at Blue Waters for two weeks in late April 2013, as a honeymoon/family holiday with our parents. Having visited Barbados several times before, we were hesitant to try another Caribbean island as we loved our last holidays so much...but we made absolutely the right decision choosing Blue Waters, it surpassed our expectations and we would happily go back!

Antigua's the perfect spot to travel to from the UK as it's just one flight, and being such a small island, the transfers from the airport are short and stress-free. As soon as you step in to Blue Waters you know it's going to be a special holiday; a welcome party of managers greet you, including the hotel manager, and you shake hands with everyone while enjoying your first rum punch. The Blue Waters staff take every responsibility away from you, there's no lengthy check-in, and if you stay in the Cove Suites you have a designated concierge who makes all your restaurant reservations, spa appointments, tours, ours even put fresh lemon in our room every day for our morning Earl Grey tea! (big shout out to Gwen the concierge!). Every member of staff is super cheery and take time out of their day to chat to you - we loved Curtis the new barman who whips up a mean Long Island Iced Tea, and Tremaine the cocktail maker who is great fun and looked after us every day.

The resort is stunning and is the perfect chill-out place; there are three beaches, seven pools, and lots of little hideaways tucked in to the gardens where you can relax with a book in the peace and quiet. We also loved watching the weddings in the gazebo every day. The hotel has free watersports which are brilliant - we did the snorkelling on a lovely reef nearby, kayaked, pedalo'd and paddleboarded, all at no extra cost.

Perfect honeymoon resort, we didn't see many kids at Blue Waters so it's mainly a couples hotel rather than young families.

If you're heading to Blue Waters, splash out on all inclusive as it's so worth it - this was our first all inclusive holiday but fellow guests told us it was the best all inclusive they had ever experienced. Every meal is delicious - the food is fresh and delicious, there are regular BBQs, the chef prepared some special main courses including lobster, and on the nights where we had room service this was yummy too.

We can't wait to get back to Blue Waters, it was our favourite holiday to date - can't fault it!

This is the place you want to go to relax. Service is remarkable, the staff is friendly and warm. the perfect resort, no need to leave the resort. They have three restaurants on the resort and all the food is great. We stayed in an ocean view room, the size was good and the view was great. the only negative with the room was that the bathroom counter space is very small with no US plug outlets. The beach is on the smaller side but is very peaceful and beautifully. they have about eight umbrellas fixed on the beach and guest once they get them will stay all day, leaving there stuff and go to lunch for an hour or two, which is not right or fair. The plus side there is plenty of seating around the pool that looks over the ocean. I was there for eight days and did not have a problem getting an umbrella, it could be an issue if you get to the beach late in the day, Going back next year and going to have our wedding at Blue waters.

Room Tip: spend the money and get the ocean view, it is closer to the beach, pool and restaurants. try and get...

We have just returned from Blue Waters which was the most perfect location for our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and everyone makes you feel welcome and at home. The resort itself is in an amazing location which is beautiful. We spent the first 6 nights in a deluxe beachfront room, then we were lucky enough to be moved to Turtle Cottage, one of the private suites. The accommodation is just great as is the food. We dined in all three of the restaurants and would highly recommend all of them. Mandie the wedding coordinator understood everything we wanted and helped make it such a special day for us and our family. She planned every detail perfectly and the whole day ran so smoothly thanks to her. We will definitely return to Blue Waters for an anniversary in the future and we are sure it will feel like meeting up with old friends!
Thank you to all of the staff at Blue Waters for making our wedding perfect in every way possible.
