I went with my husband and 17 year old daughter for 4 days. We rented a one bedroom apartment (in the block of villas numbered 40’s plus) with almost direct access to the beach. I cannot speak for other villas in the complex, but ours was very clean, clean bathroom with a very nice terrace looking onto the green lawn with partial views to the beach, sea and blue sky. Obviously, we spent most of it outside. The only downside was extremely slow internet which was a must for those who need to keep on top of work even when on vacation! We had to go to one of the restaurants to get better connection. The village villas are quite but there is outside entertainment noise from Sandals resort. The gardens were beautifully kept and maintained, the beach was a stones throw. Everyone was very friendly. Mostly older people in the village complex when we were there. However, Sandals had plenty young couples. We did not see many around the late teens early 20s. We ran on the beach everyday and did yoga. The sun beds could be better as a lot of them had strands of support missing. Aside from that, you are based directly on a beautiful beach. Two very good restaurants on either side of the cluster of villas. There was cleaning service every day, beach towels were provided and the small kitchen had good size fridge and everything you might need should you wish to cook (which we did not). Supermarket close by. We did have breakfast and tea/coffee in the villa, although one of the restaurants on the beach served breakfast. You are right next to Sandals (so if you look at their beach on the website) that is the beach You are on. Beautiful white sand and turquoise sea. This meant there was always music wafting across to our villas. However, we were not in the villas right by it so only got some noise but not as much as the ones closer to them, I suspect. If you don’t mind the music, then those villas should be just as lovely as ours was. I wouldn’t say peace and quite but I never felt we were disturbed. If we go again, we would make sure we stayed in a villa further from Sandals and would rent the one we had (42). The village also had a small grocery shop plus could arrange everything for you from taxis to water sports. We also had a massage on the beach (on Sandals side of the beach) and would HIGHLY recommend Dr Sunshine and his Japanese wife as I am very particular about quality massages, and she was excellent as I had a full body massage with the sound of the sea to drift off too. He was very good and gave a Aloe Vera head massage and face and shoulder mask for my daughter. Her hair is still shining and she has not stopped raving about how wonderful her scalp feels a week on. I’d go back just for that. Plus it was good value. I’ve paid fortunes for massages in other Caribbean Islands and this was much better at almost half the price.

Room tip: Choose villas numbered 40 onwards as quieter. Lower numbers closer to Sandals should you not mind their loud music coming across.

Overall the service was excellent. The property is clean and quiet and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this property to others as it was convenient to travel to and from town and the availability of taxi drivers and their service was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to your property.

The unit we rented was nice enough and in an excellent location on the Antigua Village property. We did not enjoy our stay due to the water woes we experienced in this unit. The problems may or may not be specific to the unit we rented. The water was very yellow and stained our skin and permanently stained some clothing. The hot water tap in the kitchen provided only a tiny stream of lukewarm water. The cold water tap did not work at all. The shower head was corroded and plugged so that only a few sprays of water could come out. We mentioned this to the management during our first few days and were told that it would be looked into. A maintenance person came and looked but never returned to do the work that he said was required.

We only had one issue and it was not with Antigua Village. It was the inconsiderate noise from major hotel down the beach. Inappropriate sound direction of their entertainment. i suggest you take a taxi as the driving in Antigua is a challenge. The three event day with Zip line, kayak and snorkel to bird Island is a must do

Room tip: The windows are in the process of being sealed better to keep down the noise but take ear plugs anyway, just in case needed

We moved to Antigua Village after my husband had a nasty accident and we had to extend our stay in Antigua. Our original place of stay could not accommodate us but the owner arranged accommodation here - a recommendation in itself. We could not move far from the studio suite so my review is limited but the grounds were lovely and very well maintained. Any little problems we had were dealt with immediately. Reception staff genuinely helpful as were security staff. If holidaying alone I would consider this an ideal pace to stay. Wheelchair available. Seemed to me that that there were always taxis on hand.

Room tip: Check out accommodation offered, All different. Hairdryers not in all rooms and while reception has some they are not always available
