We have just returned from our third Sandals holiday and again it didn't disappoint! As we had celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this year we decided to splash out for a Penthouse Butler suite. The room was truly beautiful on the top floor of the Almond building with superb views out to the ocean. The interior was tastefully refurbished and absolutely huge! Our butlers were Wendel, Sheldon and Geoffrey and they spoilt us rotten!!! They were extremely professional yet so personable and they just possessed this magic of knowing exactly what we wanted! They reserved our beds at the pool or beach, provided us with surprise cocktails, escorted us to dinner and left lots of goodies in our room and champagne bubble baths! Thank you guys we are missing that service back home! Housekeeping was also fantastic with the lovely Linneth. The room was always spotlessly clean - fresh towels twice a day. Used the loop to obtain more toiletries with no problem at all. We were very impressed with room service too which again was quick and very tasty!
All the restaurants were top notch with great service. The only time we found service to be pretty slow was one lunchtime in the Barefoot but the food was great! We loved Mario's for breakfast and dinner. Super selection at breakfast and a brilliant antipasto bar in the evenings. We also thought the desserts were better there than at Eleanor's. The Courtyard Bistro was a great option at lunchtime and we also really enjoyed the OK Corral and Bayside in the evenings. Our waistlines would suggest that we dined extremely well at SGA!!!! All the staff we met were very friendly especially Ken and Simone in Mario's and Shamantha in Eleanor's. We certainly didn't detect any negative vibes about the closure in September. All of the staff we spoke to seemed to think they would use the time to travel! Very chilled about it!
The beach was really really beautiful and yes we did get pestered but these guys are only trying to earn a living and want a chat! We booked a trip around the Island with Sean for a good price which was a fun day seeing the beautiful island! I also took part in the Aqua at the pool which was run by Shane who was so funny yet added a bit of competition too! Thank you Shane keep up the great job you do!
So all in all we really did enjoy every minute. Sandals appear to be very consistent with their standard of food, accommodation, staff and facilities! We have been truly sandalised picking up our silver award of a silver charm and bottle of Appleton rum plus a delicious SS dinner!!
As one guy said 'no riff raff, no kids!' And that we loved..... so now we await our next trip to the Grande in St Lucia!

We stayed for 3 days at Sandals Grande Antigua in a Romeo and Juliet Suite on the Mediterranean Village side of the resort. The room was beautiful with a nice balcony and view of the ocean and resort. It was a perfect room if you're going to be in the room a lot of the time. We overshot a bit, given that we were out and about a lot.

The room included butler service. We had two different butlers, Shaunté and Charmain, who were AMAZING. They made our stay better with surprises both large and small, and were always eager to assist us. Seriously, they made that trip memorable for us.

The restaurants were ok, and the food was on par for a large all-inclusive resort. We found Bayside was our favorite for dinner. The dinner staff at all the restaurants were great, attentive and helpful. On the other hand, the morning restaurant staff at both Bayside and Marios, and the pool bar staff were less than enthusiastic, which made breakfast and hanging out at pool bar a bit blah, but it was easy to overlook as we were there to chill.

The spa was similar to most other upscale spas. Can't really say that the price was worth it, though.

There was only one moment that was really unpleasant. During a rather, uh... intimate... moment, there was a loud knock on the door. Now, the room we were in had a do not disturb button that turned on a light outside, and ours was turned on. We ignored the first knock, and the second, then there was a third. After the fourth knock, I thought maybe there's was an emergency. I open the door, and some poor sap is holding a tray with coffee. He seemed ot when I

We stayed 8 days here the resort is beautiful we stayed in beach front walk out room which was wonderful loved how close to the beach you are and very quite on this side
Now as far as service they never restock the refrigerator we had to ask serval times to the point it was ridiculous I've read other reviews about this problem also I really think someone who's over this should take a hint!
Food was not bad wonderful breakfast buffet and the Italian restaurant was very good so was barefoot
The cafe where you get crepes is good but you better get them early even though they stay open till 10:30 at night I can promise you you want get one with all the things they offer because they remove it and put it away and refused to get it out saying we are finish I guess meaning we are to lazy to get it this made us so mad! and yes we even sent an email to the General manager about this with no response
Now as far as the staff they need help! They are not friendly they look at you as you are asking them to cut off their arm if you ask for something or need something
Will I return yes I'm sure I will but next time I will know what to expect
Oh and the entertainment is a joke Sandals really need to step it up!

We stayed in Antigua for our Anniversary April 2016. An amazing resort catering to couples. Great stay in the Caribbean side, the rooms were a bit run down need of refurbishment. Other the that the beach spectacular, service amazing, food amazing... The actual island is a hidden gem. Normally don't like to travel to the same place twice but for sure will be returning one day.
