This trip exceeded our expectations. The high standard and consistency of service thoughout this property is amazing.

We stayed in beachside suite #34. It is about 25-30 feet from the beach and close to the spa and pool grille. I've attached pics of our accomodations. You will never have to jockey for drinks at the beach bar or get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your spot on the beach. While this is not high season yet, we were told they were at about 60-70% occupancy and still, you never felt like you were in a crowd.
If you want activities from sunrise to sundown followed by the limbo contest, this is not for you. They have 3 - 4 activities planned everyday and we did all of the watersport activities (snorkeling, kayaking). This is the place to go at your own pace and the staff is there to accomodate your needs and requests.

We ate dinner everynight at the Estate House and they changed the menu a bit each night to present new offerings. If you like seafood, they play to the diversity of what is available and the preparations reflect the local influences. The portions were perfect. Being from the U.S., I get tired of portions that can feed a family of 4. Jasmine, Lois and Rhonda took great care of us and we looked forward to seeing them every night. I recommend arriving early to have a drink in the beautiful upstairs bar before dinner.

If they have a White Night Beach Night Barbeque when you go, don't miss it. The tables are set out on the beach, you are barefoot in the sand, and can eat all the grilled seafood you desire. With a local band playing as entertainment, It was a real treat.

Genevieve, Franka ,and Patel are there to serve (and entertain) you at the beach bar. These 3 are just a lot of fun to hang out with. They will pack coolers of beer/water/soft drinks in addition to preparing cocktails to be delivered to you. Food can also be delivered to the beach bar and/or your beach chair. if you've ordered one drink from the beach bar, they will remember it your entire stay. Wadadlis (local beer) and rum punch appeared for us without asking.

The following story really encapsulates their commitment to service. Dexter, from Water Sports, gave me and my partner a Hobie Cat sailing lesson. Long story short, I managed to capsize the Hobie on my first maiden voyage and lost our camera (no jokes about how a goat could sail a Hobie Cat...I know....). Anyway, Dexter came in on his day off to snorkel for the camera and found it. All it needed was a battery charge. I can't say enough about his selfless effort to do this and we were deeply grateful.

The spa was great...get the 90 minute bamboo massage from Marsha. Both my massages by her were fantastic.

This was exactly the vacation we were looking for....excellent accomodations, impeccable service and no lack of water related activities. I cannot wait to go back and I hope to see Dexter, Genevieve, Franka, Patel, Lois, Rhonda, Jasmine, and Marsha again!!!!

I cannot think of enough wonderful things to say about Jumby Bay. My husband and I travel quite often and it is the most amazing place I have ever stayed. We deliberated for months about this vacation and looked at many, many resorts. We could not have found a better place. The staff are incredible - we loved all of our waitstaff, bartenders, management - we were made to feel like royalty. We joked about how we could not afford to return but have already talked about setting up a "Jumby Bay" savings account just so we can one day go back!!! If you are looking for a party atmosphere and lots of entertainment, this is not your place. It is quiet, reserved, laid back...just what we wanted for this trip. We did get to go boating, kayaking, snorkeling, and wake boarding, all arranged complimentary through the resort. We loved riding our bikes all over the island. We were nervous about food and drinks with it being all-inclusive but were blown away by the cuisine and by the drinks. "Top Shelf" liquor was used at all times, with no upcharge, and the food was top quality - we did not have ONE single dish, appetizer, dessert, etc. that we had any complaints about. As a side note, we also loved the other couples staying there and made many new "friends" who we dined with and still keep in touch with - This place is WONDERFUL!! Book it now!!!

My wife and I went to Jumby Bay for our 5 year anniversary after going there for our Honeymoon back in 2005. We thought the resort was perfect before, but imagine our delight when we took in all the renovations and upgrades they have made. We were disappointed that the Fitness Center and Business Center were closed for renovations despite being told they would be open initially. But frankly, that was the only complaint we could even pretend to have. Everything else about this resort was perfect.

We had been concerned about the weather going into the week because it had rained like crazy the week before we went with the remnants of a Tropical Storm. But we had 7 days of beautiful sunshine and near perfect weather. We did need to use our bug spray evenings and early morning to keep mosquitos away from our patio area, but they did a good job fogging and really kept the flying bugs away from the pool and outdoor dining areas while we were there.

I have read most of the reviews of Jumby Bay, and after this week I have to wonder what in the world any of these people could POSSIBLY complain about. We stepped off the boat and Rita was there to greet us by name. Immediately, we felt welcome. From the layout of the lush, tropical grounds to the amazing food and most attentive service, there was nothing I could design any better for our anniversary trip. We stayed in a Beachside Courtyard Suite and it was incredible. When we walked into the room initially, it was so much better than the suite we stayed in 5 years ago. The bedding was the best I have ever slept on in a resort, the bathroom area was perfect, and the outdoor shower and bath was an every night event for my wife. The fridge was stocked with wine, beer, sodas and water and they replaced what we consumed daily. Also, when we arrived we were welcomed with a bottle of iced champagne in our room since they knew it was our anniversary. Nice touch.

The new infinity pool and pool grille are both great additions to Jumby Bay. We loved the Fish Tacos and ate them three days in a row for lunch. But we preferred to spend a majority of our time at the beach. We set up each morning after breakfast under our own tiki umbrella with comfy chairs looking out over the peaceful Carribbean. Within minutes, they would bring us a cooler with water and take our drink order. The beach bar was great and we would end most days watching the sunset from the tiki bar on the beach. Genevieve, Franka, Patel, and Anthony all were especially gracious and enjoyable. The drinks were wonderfully made whether it be rum punch, pina coladas, or even special request Margaritas. We tried everything on the cocktail menu and were pleased with them all.

The Verandah was excellent every morning at breakfast with both a buffet as well as a menu with specials. The Spanish Eggs Benedict was my personal favorite. We ate a few nights at Verandah, and Treavor at the Verandah Bar could hook you up with any special requests from the bar no matter what type of beverage you like. He even gave us a little rum tasting session one day. But, we mostly dined at the Estate House for dinner due to the ambiance and the Estate Bar upstairs. Seon the bartender took pride in making drinks exactly the way we wanted them. Of course, we observed every member of the staff at Jumby Bay doing the little things and taking pride in serving our every request even though we are not that picky! Even if you have particular dining tastes, the selection is good and there is something for everyone. We found that even if we had a desire for something that was not on the menu, they would try to accommodate us.

The last night, we were led to our table and they had put rose petals and champagne on the table as they knew it was our last night. Again, the little things like that make a big impression. The most amazing part was how almost everyone there knew us by name.

As for activities, we went on a sunset cocktail cruise which took us nearby to some smaller islands that afforded and even better view of the sunset all the while serving appetizers and drinks. They have sailboats, kayaks, tennis, bikes, beach volleyball, or whatever you really want. But we actually went out on their Mastercraft Speed Boat and went water skiing. That was a blast and they also had wake boards, slalom, and provided instruction if that is something you enjoy. Something for everyone whether you like activities or just want peace and quiet. There was also a Manager's reception one night where we got to meet Andrew and Ed who pretty much run the property there. They were very welcoming and asking us for feedback or anything they could do to make our stay better.

As we got on the boat to head back home on Sunday, we were both disappointed to leave but very certain that we would be back sooner than later. This place is our spot, and after many trips to the Carribbean in various "fine" resorts in Jamaica, Bahamas, St Thomas, St Maarten, St Johns, Puerto Rico and even the Mayan Riviera, we can say with certainty that this place is simply the best available. The pricetag is hefty, but like most things in life, you get what you pay for. It is more than worth the splurge to go to Jumby Bay and be treated like roayalty for a few days before heading back to reality!

Had a wonderful stay on the island. Great for lazing and the pool overlooking the beach was great. We were in one of the older roundavels and whilst spacious it needed updating - the newer rooms are probably best to go for. Staff very professional and helpful - only reason we wouldnt give it 5 stars was the the evening dining let it down. As the hotel wasnt full one restaurant was always closed - the estate house was open most often and the food wasnt that good. A nice holiday though and would return

If you are the type of person who enjoys limbo contests by the pool and partying until dawn, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking to get away from it all to relax and enjoy nature’s Caribbean pleasures, this is most definitely the place for you.

We have just returned from our honeymoon at Jumby Bay and cannot express how absolutely wonderful it was – more than we ever expected. After 8 days at the resort, we were trying to figure out how we might reschedule our normal lives to stay longer.

The resort is simply beautiful with every amenity you can think of right at your finger tips. Between the pools, the beaches, the water sport activities, the nature reserve, and the daily activities provided by the hotel, there is never a loss for something to do.

At other resorts you need to literally put up the Do Not Disturb sign so that vendors or hotel services are not hounding you to purchase items or sign up for activities. That is absolutely not the case at Jumby Bay. All the activities you would find elsewhere are readily available to you on the island or can be arranged through Guest Services. But it is up to you to notify them what you would like to do. And all it takes is one sentence, “I would like to…” and – poof – everything is arranged.

But the best part is that if you choose to do nothing at all, you could do so in the most amazing tranquil environment possible. And I am no stranger to the Caribbean having been traveling throughout the region for 30 years since I was 8 years old…

As an all inclusive hotel, we were concerned we might be bored with the food selections by the end of our trip but no worries here. Menus change daily and the chef will make you anything you desire upon request. And everything was so delicious we ordered several dishes we enjoyed multiple times during our holiday. We even had our very own lesson to make some of these delicious meals by attending Chef Juan’s cooking class! This was one of many personal elements of the Jumby Bay experience.

The staff became like family always available and eager to please but not overly attentive as to be distracting. Elaine and Genevieve were witty and playful with conversations always ending in hearty laughter and hugs. Maureen and the rest of the restaurant staff were always pleasant making sure your every culinary wish was attended to. The housekeeping staff was unobtrusive yet caring making kind gestures throughout our stay especially Latoya. Guest Services were always available and patient helping you with every request. Melinda and Rita topped off the experience with their energy and charisma.

The spa was glorious! I, as well as other guests, started our trips with one schedule visit and ended up making many more. Jacqueline definitely has magic in her hands.

Overall I would recommend Jumby Bay to anyone who is looking for pure and simply relaxation and tranquility in paradise. Kudos to the Jumby Bay team for providing such an amazing experience. We are already figuring out when we might return!

There were 10 members of the family ranging in age from 2 - 63 celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The island is beautiful and quiet. Even though the hotel was said to be full we saw almost no one. We run round the island each morning as the sun rose and the family slept. Shower. Breakfast, read, swim in one of the three pools or the calm sea. Shower. Lunch. Snooze. Read. Swim. Shower. Sundowners. Supper. Sleep. We kept this up for 14 days and could have gone on far longer. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Such a beautiful localtion. There is still more work to do on the food which is not as good as one would expect for such a high class resort.

We went to Jumby Bay on the second week of our honeymoon after staying a week at Little Dix Bay and stayed in a beautiful Beachside Courtyard Suite. The new rooms are seriously over the top and gorgeous. Our jaws dropped when we first got there. We also loved cycling around the island on the bikes reserved for us. I do have to say though that the service was lacking. We shouldn't have to seek out waiters on the beach for drink refills when we're paying over $1000/night. That was a real disappointment after staying at Four Seasons resorts where you have to fend off the service! Also the beach was pretty much unswimmable. We enjoyed snorkelling so much in the Virgin Islands and this beach was just full of sea grass and not much sea life to speak of. I only saw some starfish and a few small fish during my stay. We did enjoy our meals here and especially loved lunches at the Pool Grille and a cooking class with the Executive Chef. We couldn't believe we were the only ones to show up for the class! We still use those recipes here at home. The spa was also great but not as amazing as LDB. We of course still had a great time and the digs were luxurious but we had a better time at half the price at LDB and neither were on par with the service of a Four Seasons. Overall we really splurged to pay extra for Jumby Bay and the service and beach just weren't what we were looking for.

Dear London93,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your accommodations and the private island experience that is Jumby Bay. Touring our island on our iconic bikes is a favorite pass-time of our guests and we are happy you were able to enjoy that part of classic Jumby Bay life. The suite, the spa and the new display kitchen are all part of a recent renewal effort to create a world-class guest experience.

Regarding our beach, we apologize that your beach experience did not meet your expectations. At Jumby Bay we take great care and pride in preserving our natural environment. We do have a natural abundance of starfish and other small fish living amongst the sea grass just off the beach. The sea grass is an integral part of the environment as it protects the area surrounding the beach just off the shores of Jumby Bay. To experience more underwater sea life we offer complimentary snorkel trips twice a week for our guests.

Regarding our beach service, we try to serve our guests on the beach as unobtrusively as possible, however at no time do we ever want to make our guests feel unattended. We appreciate your concern that our rates are expensive though we are a fully-inclusive resort, however, we do not accept this as an excuse for poor service. We will be sure to share this concern with our team to improve our level of service.

Again we thank you for visiting us and posting your comments, and we would truly be happy to welcome you back to Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort.

Kind regards,

Andrew Hedley
