Owner description: Religious and architectural landmark, a beautiful neo-Baroque building looming largely over the city of St. John's.

Finding the entrance was a challenge and the state of the perimeter is very poor, however the love for this iconic church is evident and the rating of 5 is for what it represented (hope) and it may be again....all renovations are being done by volunteers who have a belief that works will be completed soon. It is very atmospheric and the guided tour of what is really a building site was wonderful - do please visit and make a donation this was very gratefully received !

This is an impressive looking building from outside, full of history. Inside repairs have been done. We found those working there very friendly and gave us a nice tour of the space, and its history.

A beautiful old church but no tour available on the day we visited. The cathedral is in a some serious repair and restoration work, shame it has been allowed to get to such a sad state.

As you enter St. John's harbour on a cruise liner, the oldest standout building is this twin- towered white brick Anglican Cathedral..........however it was under-going a huge restoration project whilst we there so check whether its open before you climb up to it. Well, we walked up there anyhow and thought its situation was lovely especially the trees and surprise surprise closeby was Government House with its manicured lawns and gardens which made the walk worthwhile.

This Cathedral is well worth a visit even though it is in need of serious repair and you can only walk around the outside.
